Featherland Paradise, Natural Leather Strip, Bird Toy, 120'' Long

My budgie loves this leather string, whatever I tie it to, she likes to play with the leftovers of the knots I make. I feel completely safe leaving any toys strung with this material in her cage overnight, compared to metal strung toys which I can't always verify are safe metals, which I would only let her play with supervised. No more mystery-metals with this! Love it! It did have a little funny smell, but I'm pretty sure that's just what leather smells like - it wasn't bad per se, just a strong new-leather smell which largely went away after I rinsed and dried it.

When I opened the package it STUNK!!!!! And not like leather smells...but more like chemicles. The leather was very dry, and even had begun cracking on the one side of it.....Really disappointed with this product. It is rare that Amazon dissapoints...I didn't bother to try to return it...for shipping back would cost more than its worth..so I threw it out. I did obtain some REALLY nice leather strips from Birds Unlimited in Rochester NY that I am VERY pleased with. Those are much thicker, and had ZERO chemicle smell.

I bought this on a whim to see if my amazon parrot would like chewing on it. I cut it into several lengths and tied it to the top of his cage. He actually does chew on it and hasn’t destroyed it yet. He loves to chew on it after he eats. I believe it’s because it helps him clean any food on the edges inside his beak.

It’s just fatback thinner than craft lace. Decent for my little tiny birds but it doesn’t even exist for my bigger birds.

Bought this to use for tying bird toys together for our 31 year old Medium Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. No strength at all, when trying to tie knots the leather strings would break easily.

overpriced in my opinion. I have bought it twice and the second time the leather was not durable at all. Heaven for bid i try to tie it onto something it would fall apart. The first one i ordered worked fine. I will not purchase again!

I am very concerned about what my Sun Conure chews on, since metal is very bad on the hanging toys, and he got very tangled up in string one time and could not move. Now when I hang a toy in his cage, I use this leather strip for hanging and I have peace of mind. I also use a piece of it to keep his cage door open in the daytime, as it has slammed closed on him. If the bird chews on it, it's fine as he cannot hurt himself with this leather. Very useful item, in my opinion.
