Allinson Dried Active Baking Yeast 125g is a premium, imported yeast designed for hand baking. It activates quickly when dissolved in warm water with sugar, producing a frothy rise that ensures bakery-quality bread. Perfect for 650g flour batches, this vegan and gluten-free yeast is a versatile substitute for fresh yeast, delivering consistent, authentic results every time.

## Description

We make our Dried Active Yeast to give lift to your hand-baked bread. Reactivate it by adding water and you've got the perfect ingredient for traditional baking. Not recommended for use in bread makers. - Prepare and Use: Directions: - In a 600ml (1 pint) jug, dissolve 5ml (1 tsp) of sugar in 150ml (1/4 pint) of warm water (1 part boiling, 2 parts cold). - Sprinkle with 15g (1 level tbsp) of yeast and whisk thoroughly. - Leave in a warm place until the surface is covered with approx. 2cm of froth (10-15 mins). - Whisk again and use as directed in your recipe. Notes: You'll need to reactivate this yeast in water before you can use it. We make it for hand baking, so if you're using a bread maker try our Easy Bake Yeast instead. 650g of flour usually requires 15g or one level tablespoon of Dried Active Yeast. Fresh Yeast: If your recipe tells you to use fresh yeast, just replace it with half the quantity of Allinson Dried Active Yeast. While we make it both for baking, you can also use th
