TrackAid Pulse Oximeter Portable Finger Oxygen Saturation and Pulse Rate Monitor (Blue)

Received this product yesterday. It came attractively packaged. Included were two batteries, a lanyard, and a case. All appeared well made. The item itself is light, feels a little flimsy, not solid.Batteries went in fine - the battery area was easy to open, for which I was grateful. It worked right away, and as far as I can tell provides accurate information.It worked just fine for me and my son last night. I had my husband try it this morning, and it worked just fine for him. Then I tried it for myself again. It did not work. The device kept switching off. I tried several times on different fingers. My husband tried it again - it worked just fine for him. I tried it again - it did not work for me. My husband expressed sympathy that I was dead and clearly a zombie. =DFinally, after multiple tries over several minutes, I pressed my fingernail strongly to the top of the device while it was on my finger, and it worked! Phew!Which, I think, tells you everything you need to know about this device. It's fine. It mostly works. Sometimes it doesn't. As it's the least expensive one out there I'm not surprised at its flakiness.Just now while taking pictures for this review I tried it again. It refused to work no matter what the finger I used or what position it was in. Pressing my fingernail to the top did not work. Pity. I think I may have to return this item.

Most important: Tested by nurse and produced exact same readings as her oximeter. Easy to use but I'm deducting one star for the poor instructions: poorly written print is tiny and difficult to read. Also, instructions have drawing of a different model. I like the fact that the case is included but it's not high quality. For the money, this oximeter is recommended.

I ordered the product to get a feel for my oxygen sat - asthma has worked up this winter. The accuracy is sooo poor. One minute it says 55% pulseox, the next 95, the next 60. It also takes a long time to get a reading.The pulse sensor is also wrong - but at least 30 bpm, and again inconsistent.I do not recommend this product at all.

As I expected

Oximeter works fine and I'm pleased to have the bag and strap - sometimes I carry it around my neck if I need to take readings frequently. Only objection is to the very small fonts on the instruction sheet.

Works beautifully....my sister needed to know her oxygen saturation several times a day so we thought this one would work. It did!

My Dr. uses this same device so I thought it would be good enough for me. Works fine. Just what I needed to check my O2 levels when I want to.

Quick shipping, easy to use, everything as expected

Seemingly unreliable the reading jumps around. Randomly turns itself off

Its hard to know how accurate but it pretty well ties in with readings from other Oxygen monitors I have used
