It's definitely a quality made knife!
I was very satisfied with the entire transaction. My Phoenix Combat model knife came via the company Legion on Amazon, and they handled everything expeditiously. As for the knife itself... All I can say is that I am a very picky sort of a guy, and I was totally pleased with what I received. It not only met my expectations, it surpassed them! Thank you Legion!

Outstanding Knife
I have never felt compelled to throw my hat into the "review" ring until now. I own and professionally use several high quality knives from various regions renowned for their blade-crafting quality. (Japan, Germany, Italy, USA, Sweden, and YES Russia). The only reason for this review is to dispel what appears to me to be a major trolling campaign by one individual against Kizlyar Knives. I don't have a dog in this hunt and can't speak to that individual's particular experience with Kizlyar, but I have nothing but praise for the 3 models that I own. They are quality made blades that I trust my life to. Up until now Kizlyars were unicorn rare in the U.S. I traded for one and obtained the other two through great effort. Mine are impeccibly sharp, extremely durable, and easy to field sharpen while retaining respectable Rockwell. Quite frankly I'd prefer that few knew of them for selfish reasons, as they are so scarce. I plan on passing mine down. For true end-users I recommend the Pheonix-2. It is a well rounded aggressive blade that satisfies a variety of needs. The Pheonix-1 is longer and better suited to primarily hog hunting and combat applications, although you could do a heck of a lot worse in a survival/bushcraft situation. I'll end with this, the gentleman who gave the Kizylar one star rated every other Kizylar model on this site in a similar fashion and slammed every model available. Personally, if I have so many negative issues with a company's product I sure as hell don't buy 10 other similar products/models from that same manufacturer.

Kizlyar Phoenix Knife
This is my second Kizlyar knife, which I purchased from the same amazon seller (Legion USA) as the first; although for this knife I ordered it through their website, because the steel type wasn’t clear at amazon and I wanted U-8 for this knife. My other Kizlyar is model DV-2.I’m fascinated by the brand and have a few others in my wishlist. In the attached photos, the Phoenix is in the middle, with the DV-2 on the right, and a Cold Steel Recon Tanto for size comparison on the left.
