I wanted to use this product on my ebony piano. It covered the scratches inflicted by my cats and moving, but was not rich enough to really help the wood or finish. Polishing left dry rough patches all over. It is a shame. I also tried mixing it with another paste wax I've used in the past, but that didn't work either. If whatever you need to polish is not really old or dry, this may be perfect for you, it just didn't work for my situation. I did not try to return it. Not enough time or energy, hoping I'll find some other way to use it.

I first learned of Harrell's Wax polish when I was buying antiques in England a number of years ago. It was recommended by dealers and I purchased it there and have used it since. Consequently I was delighted to learn from a local antique dealer that I could order it directly on line here in the USA.I have a crotch Mohogany dining table and keeping it "waxed" is imperative to prevent the grain drying out and separating with hair line cracks. Crothch mohogany has a beautiful decorative grain pattern but it should have the proper care. Liquid polishes are not always as effective.on this cut.

This made my antique furniture look like it was professionally refinished, while keeping the imperfections of time! Note: This is only good for dark woods. Check the options, they have different 'colors' of wax.
