50 (3.5x4.25) Black Zip Lock Foil Bags Pouches

The foil pouches feature thick foil, which is good. But the black plastic coating peels a little at the egde in 1/4 to 1/3 of the pouches, making presentation not good. The size I received is 3.5" x 4", but the sealed edges took off some area, so usable area is pretty small.

They do the job, but there are two faults with these bags:1. You have to use scissors to open the top after they have been heatsealed. Tearing just does not work.2. The foil is a seperate layer than the plastic and can be peeled apart, with a little force. Like, at the very top where you heat seal it, the foil + plastic layers aren't sealed together at all, which makes getting into the bag if you don't cut that part off kinda frustrating.The good things1. The plastic is very thick. If you are mailing these, there's no way that the bag will be torn open because the plastic is so tough.2. They look cool.3. The ziplock closure is quality, and sturdily built.These are the first bags of this type I have ever bought, so my review might be a little too critical, because maybe these are the best bags of the type, but I'm guessing there is higher quality bags you could find.

Bags function well, however tend to stretch rather than tear away at the tear strips. This can cause problems as mine were filled with powder, causing the powder to spill out all over.

The 15" size is WAY TOO LARGE for any normal, portable hear sealers.Also, these bags are not like the other "shield-n-Seal" bags - these are clear on one side. Totally dumb, why would you even use these if the point is to "shield" what is inside?Avoid

I'm something of a tea fanatic -- my cupboard, at any given time, has approximately 20 different types of tea in it -- and these are absolutely PERFECT for sealing up a serving or two (of loose leaf) to bring with me for the day or give to friends. My coworkers seems to like them as well; it's very convenient and it's nice to not give a container to someone that you would typically want back. With these I have no qualms with just handing a packet over and forgetting about it! :)I'm actually about to purchase a bunch more today!

The bags are exactly what they are supposed to be and function accordingly - just press them in the heat sealer and they are sealed up, ready to resist just about anything. I love the black color - they stand out since most Mylar bags are silver. They are thinner than I would prefer, but it's not as though they were represented as being thicker. The bottom loading design works well and is good if you only use part of the bag and want to trim off the unused part - can't do that with top-loading zip locs.

The bags are sealed top and bottom. They are supposed to be open on the bottom. Worthless... i want my money back!

These bags were exactly what I was looking for. Love that it loads from the bottom and not from the top like the others I kept finding. I use my 4in heat sealer to seal the bottoms shut.
