Summer Wide Brim Mesh Safari/Outback W/Neck Flap & Snap Up Sides

The hat is airy and well vented. The hat gives great neck sun protection. Good fit. Comfortable. Good hat.

I wear a size 8 hat. 7 7/8 is slightly too tight, but if my hair is cut short enough I can wear it. I struggle to find a hat that fits. I've never found one in a store, only online. I figured out that military hats come in size 8, so I have a few military boonie hats. I wanted a more comfortable, better looking hat. Size on both tags said 3XL for mine. It fits perfectly.This is much nicer than the military hats. I wore it fossil hunting the other day in an exposed area on a hot summer day in Central Texas. It provided a lot of coverage from the sun and since it's vented, didn't get too hot. The top is mesh, so sunlight can get through some, although it would be reduced. The neck flap can be folded up into the hat if you need more coverage up top instead of on your neck. I've got enough hair on top, for now, that I wore it with the neckflap down.I think it looks nice too! Not catwalk nice, but nerdy dad nice.Only negative was that it had an odd smell initially after opening it. Was a factory, plasticy, smell. I hung the hat on my back patio for a day or so and the smell went away. I'll likely purchase another color too, now that I know I like the hat.

Got this for my boyfriend who does landscaping. His poor neck was fried from the sun despite frequent sunscreen applications. I chose this hat over others due in part to the neck guard, and the open mesh concept material to allow similar breathability as a straw hat, and comes in a light colored material. The strings to secure the hat in place work well.His coworker immediately went out and bought the same hat only days after my boyfriend started bringing this to work, so it's been approved by several folks now.It also has clasps on the sides of the brim if you'd like to pin them up. He sets his sunglasses on the top of the hat and they stay in place too.

Fits my big head nicely. 😆 Wide brim, neck flap and chin strap for the wind are all great. Only issue for me was that the mesh is a bit big. It allows for nice air flow but is actually large enough that the sun got through and gave me a weird sunburn across my forehead. I'll simply add a bit of cloth across the front to prevent it in the future. All in all it's a very good hat.

Excellent quality and fits perfectly. Far superior to a standard ball cap which I wore for years.

The hat is comfortable and does protect the back of my neck and keeps the Sun out of my eyes and off my ears. After irrigation work and painting it was at the point of either wash it or toss it. I washed it normal cotton sturdy cold water. Now it's a very different hat. The brim has no stiffness left so it's pretty floppy. It's also a lot narrower but still functions somewhat. I didn't notice any shrinkage in size and it was still quite comfortable. I like the size, comfort, fit, and functionality. I bought another. Would I recommend it? I'm 50/50 on that. Would I recommend washing it? No.

My husband plays Pickleball and this hat was comfortable and stayed on his head. The venting on this hat allowed for air to keep his head cool even in the hot hot summer.
