It is very time consuming to attach the light strings to the spines of the umbrella. Lots of different flashing patterns for the lights, too many for me. Guess it’s easy to program them, but it’s not really fun to have the lights flashing Ike an EEG test when trying to sit around and enjoy some quiet time and an adult beverage. I’m good with leaving the lights on steady. Also, didn’t provide enough small, clear zip ties to complete attaching the strings of lights...had to go to Home Depot for more. On the positive side, the soft glow of the lights, which are dimmable, is pleasant...when not flashing...but then I probably don’t need to reiterate that point.

I bought these the same day I bought the umbrella. I wasn’t too sure, given the price, that they’d be what I was searching for… but I figured for $5 it couldn’t hurt to try.As you can see I have a six post umbrella, so I’ve taken the two extra lines of lights and swirled them around the middle. I do this every time we put it up, makes it look nicer, I think. It has different functions for the lights. You can make them blink, twinkle and some other options I can think of right now. Some of the other comments suggest that they don’t include enough zip ties, but for my, I find the amount to be perfect. I was able to get these up in the matter of 10-15 minutes.I would recommend these to anyone searching for a cheaper option. Plus, if you don’t like them, it’s only $5.

installed easy, look nice...work well. don't expect them to give out any useful light though ....they are just for providing a nice lighted accent to our umbrella at night. we also got some led globe lights to string around the deck rails. the same remote works for both - hence its super convenient and the wife loves the ambience created. she is happy, so i am happy :)

Remote has 2 dead keys, Off and Mode 8. Can turn on but can’t turn off remotely. Have to turn off by removing battery. Too cumbersome.Installation was easy enough and umbrella look nice when lights are on.Update: seller sent replacement set. This time it works perfectly. Changed rating from 2 to 4.

Only had them up for a few weeks, and so far so good.A little tricky to put up, but found it easier to do with the umbrella only partially open with the cover off, laying on a table.Would have been nice if the main circuit wires were black to blend into the shadows more.For the reasonable amount of money it seems to be a great deal, even if they only last a couple of seasons.Very happy with the light purchase.More of an ambient/effect light - probably not good enough for reading or maybe even night dining, but great for chats!

Very happy with this product. The eight strands have quality plugs on them and I’m not worried about moisture.There are many tiny bright lights in each strand. They are flexible and tied up nicely with the included small zip ties.It took about 15 minutes to install.Going to order another one!

The lights have several modes. Each different mode has a duplicate mode at a faster pace. It was a pain to install. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it was attached using zip ties. The lights are not bright and will not give you enough light to see much under your umbrella it more of an ambient light. The battery/power box is bulky and difficult to hide. Don’t expect it to look like the picture once installed.

I ordered two of these and only one worked in the first delivery but it was swiftly replaced and the new one worked perfectly. They do require a little work to install (especially if you have some shoulder arthritis). They do look very nice when lighted up at night and don't look obviously added on.
