I bought this lamp based, in part, on the numerous glowing reviews. It was intended to replace one of those old school halogen lamps I had that finally broke after many, many years of great service. Unfortunately, this lamp can't hold a candle to that old halogen. Puns both intended.The problems with this lamp are myriad. Assembly of the lamp was challenging, at best. As others have pointed out, there is a length of stiff white cord at the top of the lamp that must be jammed into a small diameter pipe in order to join the parts. I did it, but I made a lot of grunting sounds in the process and worked up nice a little sweat. Once assembled, the lamp failed to effectively illuminate the room where it resides – mind you, this is a 10' X 10' office, not much bigger than a walk-in closet. The quality of the light from this lamp is equally disappointing. The lamp is advertised as producing "warm white" light, and several reviewers commented positively on this warmth. There is nothing warm about this light. I still have several contraband incandescent bulbs that California authorities have not yet confiscated, so I know warm light when I see it. This ain't it. As far as I can tell, the light from this lamp is only incrementally warmer than a warehouse fluorescent (which, by the way, you can purchase on Amazon for less than this lamp costs). Adding insult to injury, you cannot replace the bulbs permanently installed in this lamp. I knew that going in, but again, the stellar reviews lulled me like a siren's song.And therein lies what I believe to be my greatest disappointment. There was a time that these product reviews meant something. I'm here to tell you that those days are over. No offense to the other reviewers, but I can see no way that a person in their right mind could give this product five stars. I don't even know that one can trust the one-star reviews – after all, competitors are clever enough to torpedo a rivaling product's reviews. I suppose that's why I give this lamp two stars. It turns on when I twist the knob and has not started an electrical fire. Two stars. I'm not going to try to return the lamp because there is no way I can fit this thing back in its carefully engineered packaging. Instead, I'll likely just give it away to someone who I don't like and wash the bitter taste from my mouth with a festive glass of egg nog. Happy holidays indeed.

We ordered two floor lamps because we were moving into an empty house with rooms without ceiling lights. The material of the stand is very sturdy and rugged. The LED lights are a big plus because they are energy saving. We were initially concerned that the irreplaceability of the bulbs may be a factor but we figured for the price of these floor lamps ($45) it was worth a shot. So far it hasn't disappointed. We also love the fact that it is compatible with outlets powered by a switch as many of our rooms operate that way. The only knock against this is that during the installation procedure, there's a part where you have to fold the wire in on itself in order to get it to fit inside the stand pole. This was explained in the instructions but I had to watch a video on this Amazon page to make sure and it was kind of an annoyance to do so. Other than that, this is a great product and a great experience.

The lamp is pretty much what I expected. It was relatively inexpensive, so I didn't expect it to be high-end materials. But it looks nice. I gave 4 stars for assembly and sturdiness because when you screw on the top lamp, the wire that "feeds" the lamp doesn't like being rotated/twisted... if screwed on the lamp fully, the wired would be wound pretty tight (actually, the wire acted like a spring and unwound the lamp after I put it on). So, the top lamp isn't on as secure as I'd like. My original order was missing the small reading light shade. Sunllipe was responsive and offered to send out the part ASAP. When they didn't have the part (quickly available) they offered to send out a full replacement lamp - and to have me send back the one missing the shade.

The media could not be loaded.  Very sturdy lamp. Why I gave this product a 4? I wanted a lamp for my bedroom that I could put a remote controlled light changer bulb in it. I tried to look to make sure of that, but the product, reviews and description wasn't as clear to say "Bulbs NOT needed". Nonetheless, it's now in the living room and dining room where I don't need a color changing bulb.Assembly was super easy and the lamp is pretty strong and thick. Wasn't damaged at all.I would just say, the seller should say "non removable bulbs for kid safety."

I was a little shocked at the quality of the lamp for the price; the same lamp is available at walmart for less than $20. The packing when it arrived appeared to have been dragged thru sand or something, as you can see in the pictures. The cord in the lamp had to be kinked in order to put it together. Overall, the lamp does what i wanted it to do, the brightness is fine. The bulbs have lasted a few weeks now, but if I don't think I will ever be able to replace the bulbs if they go out. I would recommend you shop around before getting this particular lamp, you can find one cheaper.

The product is well made, sturdy and has nice light. I just happened to be one of the purchasers who had a problem with shoving that extra cord length back into the connecting pieces. The cord is stiff and the space for it too small. I only saw about 10 reviews complaining about this, and I realized after purchasing that this is an important consideration. I felt it was unsafe to "shove" the extra cord at the top back into the unit. The first image is the extra cord; the second image is the instruction I received when I contacted customer service, which is basically the same diagram that comes with the package instructions. Sunllipe customer service was prompt and responsive. It just turns out there is no solution to this particular issue other than trying to get the cord back into the lamp "pipe." Also, side note: THE LAMP BULBS ARE NOT REPLACEABLE. Had the cord not been an issue, I could have lived with this because it's apparently long-lasting, and the price is reasonable. However, combined with the cord, it was yet another blip on the product.
