Animals - Magnetic Book (Magnetic Play & Learn) Hardcover – June 1, 2003

This is a cute activity book. My daughter is 2 and enjoys it. I'd recommend it for a little bit older kids though because it has magnets that have words that you match up on the pages and she's still too young for that. But for older kids learning to read it might be better. But she still loves to play with the magnets. We prefer the color book because it doesn't have the magnet words, just pictures.

My two year old showed interest in these books and so I got them for her. She enjoys the whole series and it's helping her to learn for sure. I would watch the age though, since the magnetic pieces seem to make good teethers. Children who are likely to put things in their mouths (regardless of age) should not not have these books. You really have to sit with them through the book to help with word matching and to make sure the pieces all get put back!

I gave this book 3 stars because my daughter loves it. However, I bought it to replace some pieces we lost from an older book and this new one is significantly flimsier and cheaply made (as are most things anymore) The quality is poor and although the magnets stick, they do not stick as well as in the older version

I should have looked a little more closely at what magnetic pieces were included. I assumed it was "animals" (like the dinosaur version I have), but it's not. Mostly words and animal parts with a few actual animals.

This is a great activity when we are at a restaurant. It keeps my 2 year old occupied (although we so have to do a ground check before we leave). Only frustration was the plastic box the magnets comes in. My daughter tore it off immediately

Was excited for this book to arrive, however upon arrival all the animals were missing!

This is really cute and my son loved it, but the first time opening up the plastic compartment it cracked. Other than that, it is still usable and has held up to a few months of play now with only a few bent magnets.

Very cute book my 3 year old loves it . They have to keep there finger on it all the way to the empty place or it will spring back to original spot allot of fun

Bought this for our grand daughter for her second birthday and she loves it. OUr daughter in law who is a teacher thought it good as it will help her develop her reading skills also having the words there to add to the pictures

i love these, my grandson loves them even more and we have hours of matching the magnets, reading and making up stories. The magnets are nice and solid too which is a bonus when you have a toddler wanting to bend and play with them. highly recommended

I bought this board along with the counting one. As I found it to be a little difficult for under two years old I am saving ituntil his birthday.

My 1 yearold grandson loves this book, but my only criticism would be that the pictures sometimes drop off. That means that with little hands pieces may get lost.

Bought for my 2 yr old but bit too old for her maby in a year will be ok as there are words to match pictures
