Small Vegetable Gardener Not Satisified
I purchased one of these Power Paws two years ago. It arrived and I put it together as per the directions. It worked well the first season. The next year, (last year) it would not work at all. It seemed like the motor or geartrain had frozen up. I kept it in my attached garage and it never saw any freezing temperatures. It simply refused to turn on and I could not even get the cable or paws to move at all. One season and done --- it's too expensive to use once and just throw away. My garden is only six feet by twelve feet, and this tiller unit should not have been over taxed by such a small vegetable garden. I'll try something else.

Does what it says
This gadget works as advertised. You can hoe up some very heavy dirt effortlessly. You can also reach into areas which might otherwise be difficult to hoe up, like between bushes. The only problem is that it may be a bit heavy for some people. It appears to be durable.

Great Machine
Damaged in shipping by UPS, I called TillPro and was surprised at how fast this was handled. The product works very well and I have saved a lot of back aches using this Power Paws.

Power Hoe works
Power Paws went together very quickly and did a good job on my garden. You have to be careful not to let the PP "hop" on you. You need to pay attention to the angle you hold it in relation to the ground, but you should catch on quickly.

Excellent initial assessment
Disclaimer: This review only applies to initial assessment because I have only used this for a few days.Over the years, I have tried and used many different types of tillers and hoes. Manual hoes are okay for smaller jobs, but cultivating my backyard using just manual tools is not possible, especially given the restriction of how little time I can spend in the yard. The Mantis tiller is a great tool, but it has some issues as with all rotational tillers. Roots and pine needles easily get tangled up, and it bounces around when it hits something hard. Furthermore, even though the Mantis is a small tiller, it is still too big to be used around established plants. The Power Paws is not rotational (not at the tool end). The roots of weeds do not get tangled up. Instead, they get chopped up as if a manual hoe is used. Also, the Power Paws is a smaller tool, and it can be used around established plants more easily than the Mantis tiller. The electric motor is a little bit noisy, but it has enough torque to get the job done.At 14 pounds, the tool can be handled by a relatively lightweight person. The Mantis, on the other hand, does require a more massive person to operate. All in all, this is a useful tool. Now I just have to see how well it holds up!

The best tool in my garage
Got this little tiller yesterday. It went together very quickly and I was at work in my garden turning weeds that have plagued me for years into mulch! For years I did all my weeding by hand but since my time is limited to get the garden in shape, I decided to add a few tools to my arsenal. Got this little tiller because it should be able to quickly cultivate the spots between plants, and it sure did the job. Its small and lightweight and powerful! The first time I put the tiller down, I thought I need to have a spare one in case something happens to this one!
