The high-density shell provides firm support while the soft lining provides extreme comfort. By maintaining the foot at the desired degree of flexion during the night, muscle contractions and tightening are reduced, consequently will cause faster healing and less pain. This Night Splint is designed to be non-weight bearing. In addition to a padded liner, it also features padded straps with contact closure for added comfort. The padded liner may be removed for cleaning. Designed to help minimize the discomfort and pain of plantar fasciitis, this splint is designed to be worn at night to stretch the plantar fascia. Allows you to apply a consistent 90 degree angle stretch to the plantar fascia by holding the foot in gentle dorsiflexion. Soft padded cover provides greater comfort and protection against irritation to the skin and breakdown. Fits right or left foot LATEX FREE.

It works when nothing else did.
I have had plantar fasciitis for six months subsequent to knee surgery. I had tried several things to improve the symptoms, with little success. I am generally skeptical about simple home remedies, but I didn't want to make several visits to the podiatrist and physical therapist. After a fair amount of reading and research, the remaining self-administered treatments I found were few. There was no consensus regarding stretching exercises, but since I suspected some of my post-surgery stretching exercises as being part of the problem, I studied reports on passive stretching, using braces like this one. The testimonials seemed mostly positive, so despite my skepticism, I ordered this product.First, a few words on fit. I wear a men's size 91/2 - 10 shoe, and this brace fit fine. It is very comfortable, and it can be worn for walking around the house. I did not find I could wear it at night in bed, so I opted to put it on and wear it for several hours in the evening prior to going to sleep. Results: astounding. After only one evening of wear, my morning heel pain symptoms were reduced by 75%; after three days of evening only use, morning pain was reduced by 95%. After a week of wearing this brace for three or four hours most evenings, my morning heel pain is gone entirely. To say that I am pleased and surprised by this outcome is an understatement. I simply put the brace on in the evening ( using the included toe-lift wedge ) and go about my evening activities pretty much as usual. There is absolutely no discomfort, but it is clear that the brace and wedge are placing the foot in a mildly different position than would be the case without it. This gently stretches the plantar in a passive manner. It works.Update after three weeks of use: although I continue to have relief of my symptoms if I wear this brace regularly for at least two hours every evening, it does not seem to be a cure for plantar fasciitis. If I do not wear the brace for a couple of days, the pain returns. Even though morning heel pain is reduced significantly if I wear the brace the prior evening, I still may have some heel discomfort during the day, especially when getting up from sitting for more than 15 minutes. So, I find the brace worthwhile, but not dispositive when it comes to long term resolution of plantar symptoms.

This boot's not made for walkin', but I'll tell you what it'll do..
For being a giant awkward brace that I intended on sleeping in, this thing was actually quite comfortable. Very soft padding on the brace and very comfortable straps. This boot is not for walking in unless you want to get it all nasty and torn up.I have a job with a lot of standing and I had been noticing the signs of Plantar Fasciitis and I wanted to do something about it before it got bad. For me, sleeping in this for a few nights curbed it, and I've worn it a few times since after a flare up. I also used Trigger Point Therapy which also helped a LOT, my main trigger point was on the back of my calf. Thanks, awkward lumpy soft boot. :)

Ok if your foot stays in the right position
Ok if your foot stays in the right position... The wedge included is so hard and uncomfortable yet it is necessary to help keep the foot flexed, so I was trying to rig it by covering that hard wedge with a sock, then 2 socks, added a rolled sock for beneath the toes, that finally seemed to be good, finally could use it without my toes and the ball of my foot hurting/falling asleep...but, during the night the heel of my foot slips up from the bottom and defeats the purpose of the splint.I must say even when I readjusted for maybe 10 mins in the morning before trying to stand, that little amount of flex for that short period of time still reduced the initial pain of stepping down.Sooooo, all said, yes this can help with plantar fasciitis but for me it didn't work out all night because my foot never stayed in place. What I do now, I stretch my foot with a towel in the morning before my first step and stopped using the brace. For sizing, I'm a size 9 women and the small was right size.If I were going to consider a brace again, I would look for something with soft cushion at the bottom, that hard wedge really sucked

Seller will not accept returns! Buyer Beware!
I have plantar fasciitis. This brace does not work. I have two other similarly priced braces that, while not perfect, work well enough. I got this one thinking it would be slightly more effective at keeping my foot at the right angle. It does not. The toe wedge causes my toes to go numb and without it my foot slips out of position upon lying down. It's completely useless. When I tried to return it, the seller would not accept it back because it's unsanitary. Understandable, but that should be clearly stated upfront. To recap, DO NOT BUY. Does not work and product cannot be returned. I will be throwing mine in the garbage.

WORKS GREAT!
I was really doubtful something like this would help my plantar fasciitis, and boy was I wrong! It's not cured, but after the very first night of wearing this I was astounded at how much better my foot felt. This one looked more comfortable (softer) than some of the others. I have no problem sleeping with this on and even getting up to go to the restroom, while not graceful (lol), is not a problem. I wear a woman's size 8 and ordered a small. I would not want it any larger or any smaller. I am so happy I have purchased this!!!
