Soapstone - Talc is very soft and has a white streak. Since soapstone is made primarily of talc, it will deposit a white powder when it is rubbed against almost any object. Soapstone markers are also used by welders. The heat-resistant powder does not burn away and continues to be visible when the workpiece is heated during the welding process.

Great deal!
Bought these for my husband since he needs them for his job. Not only was it a great buy at a very cheap price, they work perfect! He was so impressed with them and since you get a good amount per order, it was well worth it! When he needs more, we will definitely order again.

Roof Marking
I’m a roofer and use these for marking missing, broken, or hail damaged shingles. A lot of guys use chalk and it lasts no where near as long, is messy as can be in my tool bag, and dissolves when it gets wet obviously. All I use are soap stones now and these are a great deal!
