Stays up very well in stand mode in landscape orientation, not really designed for upright viewing but you may be able to get away with it on a hard stable surface. Available in many different designs which is nice, has a textured vinyl-feeling cover, great for anti-slip, but if you are looking for soft leather feel...not so much. The flexible shell in which the iPad sits fits my iPad mini 4 snugly and does not cover any of my viewing screen which I love. All ports are easily accessible and the iPad corners are well protected in the event of a drop. I immediately hopped on amazon to find a case instead of spending the $40 on the Speck case at the store. Overall, it’s average. Decent, even. It costs $15 and it definitely feels like a $15 case. You get what you pay for. The image is a bit blurry and dull and it’s not real glitter. Also towards the left on the front there’s a black dot on the white part of the case that won’t come off (not sure if it shows up in photos) which is bit frustrating. The cut outs for the buttons aren’t lined up perfectly. I’m going to have to cut the power button cutout to fit better. The lip of the case extends past the buttons, so they’re hard to reach to press. Not sure why there’s a card slot, seems a bit pointless for an iPad case. The open to wake function works well, which is nice. Overall, it’s decent. Definitely not perfect.
