(I did that to one of mine and fried it). Don't you just love these? k in cody **Q: Would the Xerographica air plant do well in a glass globe type hanging planter. Would I harm it by taking it out of the opening for it's 'bath"?** A: First I'll tell you I'm not very delicate with mine. I have it and another air plant stuck in a grape vine wreath. When I put them back after their baths they fall out on concrete floor sometimes and they are doing great. As for the glass globe I'm not sure. If wet you want them to be able to drain excess water from center. I've seen them in globes before but I prefer the open air. Hope I helped a little!! Good luck! **Q: What about watering; and when?** A: Once a week, I fill the kitchen sink with room temperature water and place it upside down in the sink.I do turn it side ways for the air bubbles to escape. The directions said 20-30 min , I have by mistake left it in the water for almost an hour. I put it on a dry paper towel right side up. Then later I put it on top of a glass bowl. I have gone 9 days without watering it. It almost doubled in size in my bathroom. Had to take it out and put it in the dining room. I have several other small air plants that I purchased at the same time, they are all doing great, the room is sunny but not too sunny. I really love my plant, I do not have a green thumb and it has survived - lol **Q: How does shipping work in the winter with cold temperatures? How is your stock during Christmas time?** A: We ship year round. We lose very few shipments to cold weather. If plants are damaged or die within 30 days we replace them at no cost. It was larger than expected, maybe 8-9 inches in diameter. I love it, I followed the instructions and soaked him and he turned an even darker green after a thorough drying! Just make sure when you get one to learn how they like to be watered, and don’t use tap water. I killed one from the grocery store this way, sadly:,( I’d buy from this shop again!
