Pads too thin to offer much protection.
I bought these shorts for mountain biking and found they fit true to size. I have a 33 waist, am about 6 ft tall and have a thin build. The medium fit me well. I'm recovering from a quad injury and bought these for some added leg protection when riding. Upon receipt, I tried them on and found the padding to much too thin to provide impact protection. It's soft and really pliable and almost sponge-like. They may help prevent road rash but event that seems questionable. On the plus side, they fit well and quality was good. I returned these and ordered the Troy Lee 7605 which have will hopefully offer better impact protection.
