Perfect for the price
Older unit, but flawless.I didn't purchase this as my main computer, but rather a tablet/second screen I could use in a pinch. Honestly its snappy if you want to use as tablet, and it's come in handy as a light work computer. Screen is gorgeous, surround speakers literally make me forget I'm not watching tv when I walk away . Battery is solid. For the price, similar to a super budget phone?....can't go wrong. Do it

So far been impressed
Been 2 days and it's working amazing. Condition was great. Speed of laptop is good. Had to purchase a new computer when my Mac let me down. Thought I'd give this a shot because it was a good price to get me through to while I search for a new Mac but I think I found a keeper.

Worst purchase I have ever made on amazon so far
The Microsoft Surface 3 has a lot of great reviews across different sites, touting it to be an almost wacom replacing tablet. It is not. Maybe I have a lemon, but the seller will not replace nor refund my purchase. I am deeply unhappy with this tablet. The pen does not work, when it does work the lines I draw are wavy, like I have a shake in my hand, which I do not. The line often breaks even though my pen never leaves the surface. And I can't draw without a glove on, because my hand will drag and draw along with my pen. The tablet itself is slow, and crashes constantly. I only have photoshop and illustrator installed. I do not run giant files. The software on it is so annoying. You HAVE to have a microsoft account connected to everything. If you value privacy, this is not the device for you. Everything is super tiny on the screen, I'm only 30, but I feel like I am an 80 year old trying to read and find the buttons. Tablet is completely un-useable without a keyboard/mouse of some kind, all the buttons are just too tiny to hit with your fingers. It is just a poor choice all around. I wish I would have picked something else instead of being stuck with this.

Nice For Used
I was looking for a tablet that I could get back into drawing with. I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case I did't like drawing digitally. This tablet came recommended for drawing and it was used / refurbished, so I could afford to give it a shot. It came quickly and package well. It had all the components in the description. It turned on w/o an issue, it connected to the network and downloaded apps w/o a problem. It connected easily with the drawing pen, the Bluetooth keyboard and with my phone. I really like this tablet except for it doesn't stay charged that long. I find myself charging it more than my phone even though I use it less. Other than that it was a good purchase.

Feels familiar which is a good thing
Glad we went with the Surface Pro. In the box... Surface Pro 3 Charger Generic Pen No manuals or documents Had to buy A keyboard Unorganized notes: -It's Windows so it's familiar. -Battery life is better than our previous laptop. Only had it a couple days so it's still too soon to truly judge though -it a good sized screen and still compact to travel -it came already logged on to a generic user so I had to do a complete wipe (good thing I'm somewhat tech savvy) - wish there were more ports (usbs) - solution is to buy a separate USB hub - the pen seems to be the "and" accessory. Don't know how to use it. It doesn't have a place in the surface pro to go. My opinion is it should live some where inside the surface pro like the Samsung note. But regardless of that, I dont know what to do with it. - unlike the iPads, the surface has separate logins so this has made it great for having my kids have their own accounts - the keyboard thing (not physical keyboard) is confusing. The keyboard pops up sometimes and other times I feel like I need to press some special magic function key to get it to pop up (it doesn't always work). - the Microsoft store seems more like a place where 3rd party companies are just trying to extract money rather than provide a service. (There are not a lot of apps anyways)

Maybe I was just unlucky
The package arrived a few business days after I ordered it. The surface itself came packaged in a strange packaging insert, with the Surface itself held under film. Under the insert was the charger in its own box and a type cover that I didn't order. The type cover would have come as a pleasant surprise, however the type cover is damaged. The "L" and colon/semicolon button are broken out of the cover and I'm unable to pop them back in as the plastics underneath are also damaged. Not that it matters because when I popped it on to test it, the keyboard was completely unresponsive. Honestly I'm not surprised it's broken, as the cover wasn't secured in the box so it would have been really easy for the charger box to have bumped into the cover at any point in transit and caused the damage. As for the surface itself, there are a patch of some partially dead pixels just off center of the screen. This didn't bother me too much, as you can only notice them when the screen is black. The Surface itself functions pretty well, but the browser crashed multiple times on day one. I ultimately decided to send it back because the battery is awful. It cannot hold a charge for longer than 2 hours even though it says 4. I'm honestly surprised with the mediocre service I've been given, especially given all the positive reviews I saw. Just slightly more padding would have prevented the type cover from being damaged, and it doesn't take much effort to make sure the battery is still good.

Absolutely great purchase!
I don’t know what it is but this is absolutely wonderful product, sure it’s not going to be able to be used for heavy gaming but it is definitely great for office work. Even better, it’s 100% portable, it’s not bound to wires nor is it a bulky large heavy machine. Battery that lasts for multiple hours and a built in back stand further improving office usage. It definitely is faster than my actual PC and as I said before, portable. Personally It does take time to get used to a full on computer to be used in the form of a tablet but shouldn’t be to hard to adjust after all I have used a computer in the form of a handheld console like device. Screen resolution is very nice quality, exactly the quality of what I want. Addition to all of what I’ve discussed above the product was refurbished yet it feels so new, 5/5 stars.

Pleasantly Suprised
I don't write reviews...ever. My 5 year old SP3 that I loved died 2 weeks ago and I was left in the vacuum of deciding to spend big bucks for a new computer or pull the trigger on a renewed/refurbished one for $300. Against my normal risk-averse personality, especially after reading some of the bad experiences and reviews, I opted to give it a try. I figured $300 is cheap enough that yes it would suck if it didn't work, but not the end of the world. Bough it, it came two days later, and I couldn't be more pleased. There's not a scratch on it and works beautifully. Picked up right where I left off with my old one. So far (~7 days into the new one) absolutely no problems or issues. Highly recommend. I'm sure there are lemons out there, but this has been like a brand new computer for me.
