Great product indeed! Using ceramic inner pot is really a breakthrough from the non stick coating over metal in rice cookers we have been using for decades. The cooked rice does not stick to the ceramic, with enough holding time for the rice to absorb the remainder of steam after it stops cooking. It takes about 40 minutes from pressing the cook button to getting the rice ready to eat. That's about twice as much time a rice cooker with metal inner pot takes. However, this is normal because ceramic is a slower heat conductor than metal, and heat conducted through the aluminum surface cannot be too rapid so as not to crack the inner pot. I am not sure how long the electrical part of the cooker will work. I assume that it will last about 10 years (or more?) but I will definitely be very careful not to break the ceramic. May be I can pass the cooker to my kids when they move out. Thank you for the simple yet innovative idea!

I bought this rice cooker because of its ceramic inner pot - no more worry about bubbled/peel-off non-stick coating. It is a pretty simple but good quality rice cooker and cooks the rice reasonably well. The first few bowls came out either a little bit too dry or too moist. After a few weeks we got more consistent results, though the texture of the cooked rice still tastes not as good as the Japanese brand ones. Overall we are satisfied with this rice cooker and will keep using it for a while.

I returned it. It was not as stated. I bought it for the rice bowl picture and it didn't have it. The company did return it. But it was a hassle for me and they seem quite unconcerned that it was not as stated.

I have M.S. My wife is hyper aware of metals in cook ware that my leech, however unlikely, into our foods. This rice cooker is just like the Panasonic/National (Ones with the Elephant logo) with one huge exception. The rice is cooked in a ceramic bowl. No metals can leech into food.I am not stating that non-stick coating are leeching. It has never been proven but I do know that after a few years of use, you can see that the coating wares down to the bare aluminum. It's not just rice makers, it's all non-stick coated cookware.Yes, it might be silly but M.S. is not. Why not use cookware that has a 0% chance of putting non-stick coating or other metallics in your food?

Usage as prescribed. Easy to use and to clean.Does why we want it to do -- cooking rice only.

I had this rice cooker almost a year before using non-stick cooker so so long and have to buy so many time because non-stick coding come out .I have searching for stainless steel inner pot and come cross this ceramic inner pot ,I have never though they will make for rice cooker .Any way I am so glad I bought it ,rice ,soup ,steam everything come out great taste ( All Food original taste) . Every one should try these is healthy and safety .I have order from Wayfair by amazon ,great price ,great product and great Wayfair costumer service .

beautiful appliance, makes beautiful rice. the interior pot has a nice weight to it and doesn't seem as fragile as some of the other clay rice cookers seem to have. makes a minimum of 3 cups of un cooked rice, which is a bit too much for just my husband and me.

Replaced my old aluminum rice cooker with this. What a step up: easy to clean, no having to put in oil first, perfectly cooked rice...oh, and did I mention easy to clean?!
