Lip Lock Lipstick Sealer

It really works makes your lipstick stay longer, but when you apply it it burns and it taste like alcohol, other than that , it's worth the pain, I will buy it again.

This product is a mixed bag. Yes, it locks in *lipstick*. Not gloss. Works well to keep lipstick on, not feather. Longevity depends on formula, lipstick can last 8 to 12+ hrs. But, it smells like pure alcohol. It burns until it dries. Probably, 30 seconds. And, it will dry your lips out. Not an everyday use product. You will need chapstick after use. I am not in likely to repurchase. Rem beauty has a far superior product but, it is pricey. NYX also has a product similar, it's glossy.

When I put this product on over my lip gloss, it had the most terrible smell and you couldn't help but taste it, because it is a thin liquid, and it was awful--almost like a chemical. I applied it anyway, it burned a little, and in less than 1/2 hour my lip gloss was off my lips, as it would have been if I didn't apply Lip Lock. I was expecting it to be like the sticky formula that some companies sell attached to their lip gloss tube-like application method, on the other side. They keep the lip gloss on for hours and hours and you need to take it off with makeup remover or soap.I was so disgusted that I didn't even bother to ask if I could return the product for a refund. I am home bound, and it wasn't worth trying to find someone and paying them to go to the Post Office. I just took the loss. I guess I since it is small, I could have asked for a postage paid sticker that I could just have put in my mailbox, but, like I said, I didn't want to be bothered.I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, even if I had enemies!

I have reordered this product multiple times. I use it almost daily and it works great for me - keeps me from having to constantly reapply lipstick. It did sting the first few times I used it but then that stopped happening. I will keep buying it and continue to keep a bottle in my purse, desk, travel makeup kit, etc.

This is my third bottle of this stuff. I used to buy it from a private consultant who I don't use anymore so I thought it was lost to me. So happy now. The negative reviews are correct that it smells like chemicals but that is for about 10 seconds. After that your lipstick stays on through drinks and sometimes even through dinner. One reviewer said it does not work with lip gloss; true but that is not what it is designed for. It is designed to be used with lipstick only. I cannot stand the long-lasting lipstick that feels like melted saran wrap on my lips. So this is what I like to use if I am going out or have an activity to do and won't have time to keep putting on lipstick.

Fast shipping, great product.My Walmart lipstick that lasts no longer then 30 minutes, lasted for over 4-5 hours.It does burn just a little for a second and if your lips are cut, it burns a lot.It does smell like alcohol, but the smell goes away fast.Over all, this is a good product to spend your money on especially if you go to an event andyou do not want to keep applying your favorite lipstick.Just wanted to add, This will NOT work on your lip gloss,I do not think it was made to work onlip gloss so there is no reason to give it a 1 star. Maybe, have not tried it yetbut you can add your lip gloss on top of it but I am pretty sure you will need to reapply the lip glossbut it is not as hard as putting on lipstick.

So far, I've only tried it with two lipsticks and I have mixed feelings. Sometimes it works well, sometimes it does not. When it works, your lipstick will stay on no matter what (and you'll wonder how you'll get it off later). Unfortunately, it works best with dryer lipstick products (ones without added moisturizers) but these are the ones that tend to stay on longer anyway. The other reviewers are right because there is mild burning when you first put it on but it is bearable. Sometimes it will become sticky on my lips and stay that way, which is both very uncomfortable and impractical. I've had it clump up on my victoria's secret lipstick, my lips shed product in clumps as if i had stuck on little bits of tissue paper on them. It was disgusting! I also noticed that after a few uses, the clear liquid easily attracts the lipstick color onto it so I can only assume in a few short months it will be horribly discolored.
