Specifications:Dimensions Open: 25 by 19.5 by 20 inches Dimensions Closed: 3 by 8 by 23 inches Seat Height: 7 inches Weight: 4 pounds Travelchair Features Webbing Seat belt webbing is good enough to save your life and it is good enough to reinforce our chairs. Travelchair goes beyond the industry standard to use the toughest webbing in the business. Feet Feet hold the chair together and keep you out of the dirt. Travelchair feet are designed, like our molded grommets, to be at peace when loaded. The nylon insures that the feet in your chair will be flexible and strong. Grommets Travelchair molds grommets to conform to optimal angles when the chair is loaded. High strength nylon and double stitching means no compromise in durability. Rivets Not all rivets are the same--Travelchair rivets are oversized to maintain frame integrity. Instead of drilling a large hole to drop the rivet into and then mashing down the ends for a tight fit, Travelchair drills to exacting tolerances, which means more manufacturing time spent creating products, and much longer product life. Frames Travelchair steels and aluminums are a grade higher than what is on the market and a tick or two thicker than the average chair, resulting in stronger, longer lasting frames. Fabric The common thread throughout the Travelchair line is that each fabric is the ultimate in durability for its intended use. Take the 600 denier nylon, for example. Travelchair uses a double layer instead of a single layer like discounted store chairs. The ballistic nylon and polyester meshes have been put through rigorous product testing in the Desert Southwest, in Chilean Patagonia, and in the Travelchair warehouse in Gig Harbor, Washington. Details Travelchair finishes products with details such as bar tacking, doubling of fabrics, and reinforcement fabrics made of seat belt material because they believe the bottom line is superior design.

Packs down SMALL!
I admit I haven't used it yet, other than just sitting in my living room for a few minutes. But I thought I'd let other shoppers know what surprised me. I didn't realize that this chair comes apart completely and packs into an oblong bag that comes with it, which is quite small and will be very nice for packing for just about anything -- camping, events, whatever. You can just keep it in your car under the seat, I imagine.Initial set up had me worried -- the fabric and the poles were tight and the pop-up pins seemed very "Made in China." I struggled for at least 5 -10 minutes with one of them and had to use a mallet to get the pin to pop in place. After sitting in them for a few minutes, I figured the tubular frame would be tough to take apart. But when I took them apart this morning, they came apart easily -- the little pins popped easily and the frame came apart with no work at all and I had it in the bag in about 30 seconds! Nice. So, just to make the review complete, I'm going to go set one up again right now. Okay, that started out well -- everything went together pretty easily up until the top bar on the seat back. The fabric was still a bit tight, but the real problem is that the cheap pop up pins wouldn't pop into place in the holes. I finally got one side, but not the other -- I gave up. So now if I try to pick that chair up by the back (the normal thing to do), it will come apart. So nice product, good design, comfortable so far (although it's REALLY low to the ground for those who have trouble bending/squatting), but cheap construction. The manufacturer needs to put in better quality pop-up buttons.

Super, SUPER easy to put together, great chair!
I wish people understood how much negative reviews truly hurt a product, a company and the workers. There are some less than desirable reviews about this chair, but the good ones were too good to pass up, so I bought it, and I am so glad i did! It was SUPER EASY TO PUT TOGETHER even with my 3 year old trying to grab pieces and help me. It is sturdy enough for me and for my kid to take a running leap across the room and land on me while im sitting on it. It will be a breeze to take to the beach and sit down where the waves come in and soak up the sun - cant wait! Thank you, this chair is awesome.

Lives up to the weight claim
Pros:+ took my sexy 230lb/6ft man frame and held me upright like a champ+ very portable+ solid construction and easy assembly (but..)Cons:- assembly should be easy as its only 3 parts to snap in, but you need to be strong enough to pull back the bars to make it fit (i know it sounds strange, but trust me). My friend is petite and she had a difficult time assembling it :( minus 1 star.

really low slung
this is very sturdy built. it is also very low . if you have trouble getting up from the ground you will not like this . as a seat it is just to low to be comfortable to sit in and it is to hard to get up from it. it does however make a nice lap desk . works good for a book or laptop to rest on . if they made it taller it would be a good seat too.

Cotton Duck Steel Travel Chair
This is a sturdy chair and is very comfortable. The cotton fabric is high quality. This would probably be a breeze for a guy to put together and take back apart to carry in the tote bag that comes with it. For me, I may leave it together and carry it that way. If I had been able to see this chair in a store, this is the one I would have chosen.

It's just perfect!
This is the best invention ever. The chair disassembles and fits in my carry on bag. Yes, that's right, a CARRY ON. I must admit I was skeptical at first based on some reviews saying the chair was difficult to put together and if sand got in the "snap on" pieces you'd never get it apart. You do have to work with it a bit to get it together but on my sun and sand vacation I had no trouble getting it apart. It is a nice sturdy basic comfortable sand chair. My only suggestion would be to offer it in some festive colors or patterns. In short, I'm thrilled with it!

Great chair, save for the annoying pins.
I have two of these, one with the cotton seat and one with the nylon. The pins on the nylon chair are much worse. I was aware of this issue when I bought the chairs, and I still think they're a good product despite the one flaw. At some point I'm going to try filing the pin openings to see if that helps.

Just as I had hoped.
There were several chair options available. I chose the Travelchair because of its simplicity and construction. The most significant aspect is the rounded leg feature that lessens the potential for the chair to tear a hole in the floor of a tent. The chair is easy to put together, take apart, and stores in its own carry bag nicely.
