Broke within 5 minutes.
Got lights installed on my 42" TV, they worked well for a minute, but when I pressed the "demo" button on the remote, the lights flashed a few times then one very quick flash and they died forever and will not turn back on. I tried connecting them to all different kinds of USB plugs to try to revive them / make sure they had enough power available, but nothing will bring them back to life. Very disappointing considering the price of these. Useless.

Tricky setup but rewarding final product
I've always seen the posts on Pinterest with the cool desk setups that have a futuristic back-light and thought how cool that would look late at night when I'm doing work on my desktop (or, ya know, writing Amazon reviews). While the product page heavily promotes using this for a TV, I opted to use these lights to give a sparkle to my bedroom desk, and so far I'm loving the new ambiance that it provides!Setup was a little tricky and what I dislike most about this product. The installation manual that comes with the product includes a sheet showing you all the items that should come in the box (4 light strips, some connectors, a power source, and the remote control) as well a picture of the remote control and explanations of what all the buttons do. The actual installation portion isn't very helpful. Step 1 is to "check if the product is working properly" which you can't do until step 3 which is "connect the light bar properly." How to actually connect the pieces together isn't explained, and I'm still unsure if I did it correctly, because I have a couple of spare parts that I never used. Essentially, you will need to connect to a USB port then build as long of a line of lights as you want. There is only one USB hub, so all lights must stem from it. I chose to stick the lights underneath my desk and I found it rather simple to twist them around the corner and just allow the corner adhesive to not directly stick on the surface. The adhesive seems to be medium stickiness. I did have one of the strips of lights pop off briefly when I was installing, but I gave it a firm press back onto the surface and haven't had any issues since. The remote control is easy to use and pretty self explanatory. There are a variety of modes that you will have access to with these lights. According to the manual, there are 22 dynamic modes, 20 static colors, 5 brightness grades, and 10 speed grades. You can have different colors flashing, one color flashing on and off, a single color emission . . . the possibilities aren't endless, but they're pretty close. The brightness is pretty good; it's not going to light up an entire room like a lamp will, but it still can be bright enough to keep you from stumbling around in the dark.Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product as a way to add a bit of pizzazz to my desk. The setup is a tiny bit tricky, but I was able to figure it out. The finished product is worth it, because I really like the colors and options for how to have them glow throughout my room. The price point is just right. I'm finally one of those futuristic desk owners, and I'm loving it!

Toodour LED Light Strip
I like adding backlighting to computer monitors and furniture with LED strip lights. The lights give a cool sci-fi/futuristic touch when I’m working in the dark, and I’m nerdy enough to want such an effect everywhere in my house.I’ve had the Toodour strips up for about a month and they’re still sticking. Other strips I’ve used haven’t stayed attached, so I’m pleased with the adhesion of these. One other thing I like is that the strips are modular, instead of one long piece of LED tape. This makes it much easier to connect the strips in a square or rectangle instead of trying to make corners with tape.I received 4 strips, each measuring 19.5” long. The included instructions aren’t very helpful, so I recommend plugging all the strips together to make sure you have the connections the right way before sticking them to anything. The claim of 22 colors is inaccurate. There are 7 solid colors: white, red, green, dark blue, yellow, light blue, and purpley-pink. The brightness is adjustable. There’s a mode that reminds me of a strobe light that switches between the available colors. Compared to my other light strips, this one is light on customization.

I don't like this product
I have a 55" Sony TV. I replaced a single non-remote controlled led strip with this product. I was OK with the old strip, but decided to try this because it has an off function on the remote but the old strip had to be disconnected from the USB port to be turned off.First, you are supposed to get four 20" strips with this product. I got 5. You'd think lucky him, but it is not good because there is not enough connectors to connect all 5.Second, quality is not great. Some of the holes in connectors on strips' ends had some rubber glue in them which required cleaning it out. Some cable connectors end covers weren't properly installed.Third, four 20" strips is not enough to go around the perimeter of a 55" tv. You have to connect two of the strips to stick to the top and one on each side. It is somewhat OK, but there is less ambient light at the bottom.Fifth, I connected the strip to my TV's USB port and at full strip brightness my TV displays message "USB device is drawing too much power. Disconnect the USB device." and automatically disconnects the USB port. The only way to get the power back is by unplugging the TV.On the positive side, installation was easy, once connected and at less than max power the strip is providing the promised ambient light and the remote works as promised.
