Beautiful Speakers! Awful Vendor!
First floor-standers I've ever owned and I absolutely love them. The build quality is fantastic! I was studying for over a month on upgrading my Wharfedale Diamond 10.1's for my Marantz PM7005. My purpose is strictly music from my Mac, and turntable. These just arrived today and I haven't moved the volume past 15%, (I want to slowly break them in) but I love these speakers.Speakers I was looking at: Boston Acoustics A360, (and the M350), Fluance XL7F's, multiple Klipsch models, and a few others. Klipsch look like promising speakers but I read that they're are sort of "in your face" with sound and are very bright, which I wasn't interest in. Also, the one time I saw them in person, at BestBuy, they looked cheap and they felt cheap. Albeit the audio source they were using was pretty cheesy too. Anyway, the reason I went with Wharfedale in the beginning was that they were supposed to be "warm" and "neutral" sounding.During my studies I noticed some really nice speakers out there, Monitor, B&W, Focal, Kef, etc., but I have no regrets. These 10.7's are definitely a bargain. I can tell already they have plenty of bottom-end and sound extremely clear and balanced. Wharfedale doesn't seem to be as popular as many other brands in American stores but I can tell you that if you're considering Wharfdale don't be afraid to pull the trigger. They're very high quality and sound great! I'm finally hearing my music in a full, detailed manner.Now, on a side note, I'm hoping I'll never again need to do business with Music Direct. I contacted them through Amazon via email. I was weighing the Diamond 230's and 10.7's. In a tongue-in-cheek but respectable way I asked if they could objectively recommend one over the other and possibly the difference between the two, without potentially steering me toward the 10.7's to get rid of that old stock. They replied that I needed to call and speak with a customer service rep. Regardless of wether or not he knew of my email, the guy was a complete jerk. He had zero personality and acted dumbfounded as to why I was asking such a question. I had real difficulty breaking his annoying silence. The few times he did speak he was condescending and acted as if I was bothering him. The only point he made was the original MSRP on the 10.7's was more than the 230's. I cannot think of a more deplorable customer service experience in my life. If the 10.7's were available from any other vendor on Amazon, even at a higher cost, I would have used them instead of Music Direct.

I replaced an old set of Advent tower speakers with these. Music sounds much better! I couldn't be happier!
