Review: Pretty Damn Good - Seems to be decently built. The little part that attaches it to your gun was spun around backwards and after a half hour of messing with it and attempting to take that section apart which proved to be more difficult than I thought it would be, the little metal pieces found their way to the right spot after a little coaxing. After that it only took a little time to attach it to my gun and my strap to it. Adjusting the legs is very different from any bi-pod, tripod or mono-pod I have ever used or held. There is only one section that is adjustable but you still can adjust it to a height you would need. It is tricky and the parts that do not adjust retract fully with the push of a button, but do so easily and quickly so if you bump the wrong spot you have to extent it back out. I would think that if you adjust the adjustable part so that when you extend the legs it is at a height you like it would be easy to deploy them quickly. But fine tuning I think would be a little tricky. For me, my bipod is also tricky in that with the gun leaning on it you only have one hand and I usually end up setting the gun down and then guessing what height I should set it at. For the price of this Bipod I think it is a minor imperfection for what is a pretty solid rest that allows your gun some degree of motion but is still a very solid rest even when fully extended. I cannot say how it compares to the more expensive brands which might be a better choice if you use bipods often because I would expect that they would adjust more easily and are probably built a bit more sturdily. I do not get the sense that this is of poor quality but with the price of this unit they had to have used thinner or less rigid materials. I have not used this in the field yet so after I get some use out of it I will report on how it works in a hunting situation. Edit September 19, 2013 Well I finally got to do a field test and I have to say that I am impressed. I think it does take a little time to get used to setting things up but with some practice I think I have it down cold. I think the sole limitation is that if you are in a situation where you might have to shoot either up or down from your position it probably is going to be difficult because I still think fine adjustments are not easily done and certainly not possible without a whole lot of motion as you do it. If you can set it at one height then it is fine. I have shooting sticks and they are not really simple to do a quick adjustment either. But the good news is that I was able to use them shoot a chuck that had to be out around 280 yards. My range finder could only show an object that was closer and it was 258 and a good distance away from the chuck. It held steady and the pivot is stiff enough that you can pivot your gun yet not so loose that you have to hold it from rocking back and forth. I am very limited in my knowledge of long range shooting so shooting that far from a sitting position is pretty good. The way it is constructed makes it a little uncomfortable to carry on a sling although I hiked with it and my heavy gun quite a distance there always is something pushing into your back. In cold weather with a jacket on perhaps it would be unnoticeable. At half the price of the the more popular bipods I think this is a winner. While I doubt that these would compare on an equal level to those bipods I do not think that you are giving up a whole lot and the difference is kind of significant. I guess if you hunt off a tripod often you probably are better going with what is considered top of the line. But for someone who might get out 10 or 20 times a year I think it is a low cost alternative that for me has not left me wishing it were just a little better.
Review: Clever design - So far I like my bipod, the legs adjust easy enough for uneven surfaces. I don't know if it's in the description but since I'm relatively new to the bipod market, I don't know if it's common knowledge, u can still use your sling with this bipod, there's a spot on the back of the connection for the sling, I was hesitant to buy this because I didn't see that info. It's sturdy and adjusts to 13 inches, makes shooting a lot better, downside is it doesn't swivel, still for a rifle, worth it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job.

Pro's: - Offers pivoting and traversing movements, whereas Harris only offers pivoting. - Price is roughly 1/2 of the comparable Harris bipod. - Includes a locking lever for the pivoting and traversing. Harris offers a locking lever that you must purchase separately. Con's: - Fit and finish is mediocre. - The pull-down legs seem more tedious than the Harris spring-down legs. - The attachment tensioning screw comes loose. If price were no object, I'd gladly take a Harris bipod. I'd take a Harris over this bipod, even though this one offers traversing and the Harris does not. I feel like the quality you gain with Harris is worth more than the traversing feature you gain with this one. Having said that, price is a consideration and this bipod has worked fine so far. The legs pull down, and are a bit tedious. Once you have them set, there is no issue. They lock in the fully open position, and spring back to the retracted position with the press of a button. However, if you need a height in between fully retracted or fully extended, you'll need to use the lock nuts. It can be tedious to pull the legs out and tighten the lock nut, while fighting the spring that's trying to retract the leg back in. Harris uses notched legs that spring out, which seems like a better design. The finish on this bipod seems to use a mixture of paint, parkerization, and bluing. The paint had already been scratched on parts of my bipod when I received it. I'm good with it, it's a tool. The knurled locking nuts on the legs and the attachment screw appear to be a very rough casting. The only real thing that is annoying with this bipod is that the attachment screw comes loose after some use. I might end up using some thread locker on it to see if that solves the issue. Otherwise, I'm happy with the purchase. Everything seems sturdy. The legs don't slip past the lock nut. There is no excessive rattling, like some of the other cheaper bipods. The pivot and traverse work fine and lock in to place firmly with the locking lever. In general, this seems like one of the nicer Chinese made, budget bipods. If you demand perfection, this one is not for you. If you just need something to hold the front of your rifle up, you've found a winner. NOTE: I emailed Blackhawk! and Champion to verify a theory I had. It turns out this is the same exact bipod as the Blackhawk! Sportster TraverseTrack bipod. Same exact product, different branding. So if you're considering that Blackhawk! bipod, save yourself $5 and get this one.
