Too small = painful. Too large = not enough support. S/M or L/XL for me?** A: I think a S/M would work. I was a size 16 to 18 before pregnancy and I ordered the L/XL. It fit perfect after c-section. I am 5 weeks out and it's a little big now. I used this with the waist wrap the post op nurse gave me and I felt great. Gives you the support you need to move around and reduce pain.
