The MyDIYCNC Limit Switch Kit simplifies the addition of limit switches to the ends of each axis. Limit switches interface with your CNC application to provide a mechanical stop on each end of each axis. They can be used to prevent over-running the axes and for automated homing. This kit comes with the MyDIYCNC Limit Switches Assembly and Installation Instructions, available for download. This document provides pictorial step-by-step instructions. Cable is not included since each user will have a different layout of their CNC machine and control box, requiring differing lengths of cable per switch. Assembly and soldering required. Requires 2-core wire (such as speaker wire), not included. Kit Contents: 6 MyDIYCNC Limit Switch PCB's 6 push button momentary-on switches 6 Mounting screws (5 chassis mount, one motor body mount) 6 Insulation washers

Microswitch works as they should, just a bit pricey.
The are micro switches that work as a microswitch should. They a bit over priced in my opinion.Convenient to with pcb attached even though you still have to drill mounting holes on the MyDIYCNC BigFoot.

Mounting is not intuitive and the vendor offers no viable mounting solutions
Way over priced for the 6 little pushbutton switches though the little pcb is nice.It states in the manual that for the BigFoot CNC that these have pre-drilled locations. Not a true statement as all the holes have to be drilled by the End user in both the high density plastic gantry supports and the aluminum frame (X axis and the Z axis). The manual stated that one switch is to be mounted on the bed stepper motor which is not possible as the bed would never reach the switch on the opposite side of the frame to activate the stepper motor mounted switch.Calling the MyDIYCnc support for assistance will only get you the "Oops, we had an oversight and our clients heatedly debate the mounting and location so we no longer offer instructions or solutions for optimum mounting".When you do come up with a mounting solution you'll find that the Z axis activation of the switch will stop the Z travel as designed but if you're using the USB option on the BigFoot router, frustration will set in as you'll have to some how squeeze you fingers in behind the Z axis mounting to turn the Lead Screw until the Z axis in no longer activating the switch so that the software can regain control of the axis. The switches don't come with any wire for connection which you'll have to supply and connect to the tedious individual wires of the ribbon cable connecting to the DB25 (Parallel) connector. You'd come out spending less to get your own lever activated switches and easier to mount as if you mount these switches you'll also have to use a plastic washer(supplied) to insulate the mounting screw head to prevent shorting the switch closed. My suggestion is to not purchase these switches and don't purchase the USB solution MYDIYCNC offers, but instead get your own switches and use the parallel interface which allows you to use MACH3 or other software offerings that will allow you to electronically move the axis's to deactivate a triggered switch.
