Liked it so much that i was going to order another,but...
Ordered this belt December 19, 2017. Bought it (shipped/sold by Amazon) for $14.91 including tax. Love this belt! Have worn it many days since receiving it a few days later - no complaints.I do see that reviewers say the buckle may lose its grip over time.Liked it enough that i went to order another today: January 11, 2018.It is now $25.48, which with tax again, which would be a total of $26.47.I expect this review will not be published...Really Amazon?...a 77.5% increase in a little over three weeks?Edit September 2021: Still like the belt. Was thinking of getting another and checking the price...This belt is now $20.55 - a reasonable price for sure at over 3 1/2 years later!

Great buckle design -- light and secure clamping and comes in numerous colors.
I liked them so much I bought one in each of four colors! I have purchased both this Bison Designs Flat Iron belt and several of Levi's similar clamshell buckle web belt because I think they are easier to operate and have a more secure grip than the pinch-bar clamping design of other web belts. The cotton webbing of this belt, at 1-7/16 inch wide, is about 1/16 inch narrower than Levi's webbing so it may fit in slightly smaller belt loops. The buckle is smaller, lighter, and a little less bulky than Levi's and the hinged clamping part on this one is the small piece on the left, so clothing doesn't get pinched and requires much less clearance to clamp/unclamp. The clamping action seems quite secure and doesn't slip at all. This belt costs more than Levi's but comes in more colors. Just like the Levi's, the webbing can be cut shorter from either end and the end seared -- I used a butane lighter and then to be sure I sealed the end with Dritz Fray Check fabric glue.

BELT STOPPED HOLDING IT'S GRIP WHEN CLOSED AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR ! / DOSNT ANYTHING LAST ANYMORE ?
If you get one thats too long and cut it to make it short and then find that its all frayed from doing so- ( Don't worry ! ) simply remove the other end of the belt from the buckle part ( it unsnaps ) and put the frayed sided on that end . now you have a clean side of the belt to run through the buckle , it doesn't have as n=much of that black stuff on it but it works . If you read this before messing up your belt , i would suggest you make the belt shorter by cutting the side that is under the buckle , in that way you have the original side ( with protective covering where it should be 0 I'm surprised they dont give you this info. . If A LONGER BELT IS CHEAPER IN PRICE , YOU COULD SAVE MONEY BY BUYING IT AND - DIY UPDATE - BOUGHT SEPT 2016 NOW THE BELT WILL NO LONGER HOLD WHEN COSED DISAPPOINTED IT DIDNOT LASTA YEAR

So nice I bought four.
I own four of these belts. This is a good casual or outdoor sports type of belt. The buckle, while made of stamped metal, has a decent finish, is very easy to adjust even while walking, and holds securely. I like it much better than the Bison Last Chance cinch type buckle that constantly loosens on me. The synthetic straps are thick and soft. All mine have welted top and bottom edges (double welts for the stonewash colors), which gives the belt a little style, but in the amazon photos it looks like a couple of the color options do not have this feature. The melted ends could be done better. From a production perspective, it seems overpriced, but on the other hand, it just works better than others of similar design that I have tried.

Pretty but not a good design
Very nice looking but like another BISON Designs belt I've had, the strap material thicknesses are not thought out. This particular belt strap is marginally too thick for wrangler jeans belt loops, and that's in single layer. And where the strap overlaps itself inside a loop it's a real struggle.I've had a different one of their belts in the past that was useless because the strap was too thick for the snap buckle and it immediately popped open every time the buckle was closed. I called the manufacturer on it and they acted like it was news to them and made me ship it back to them at my expense. With this belt, two strikes and you're out. Sending it back. Nice looking but not functional, both times.

best of it's type that I have found
Good quality belt with a well designed buckle that looks good, also. I like the adjustability of this style as opposed to hoping you have a belt hole that will give you the right snugness with a standard type belt. Don't overlook all the colors available. Good for outdoor clothing and casual dress. Cut to length, if needed, by releasing belt where it attaches to buckle. Cut it and stick it back into buckle. Very simple.Update: have just picked out my 4th color. Yes, they are a bit pricey but I can't find anything like it for less.

Nice belt
Nice belt - I'm wearing it now. The material is thick and cloth-like rather than thin and slick like some nylon belts. That makes it not slide so easy through the loops and around the waste, but it looks better. Buckle works well - no slip.

It's not oatmeal in color.
The quality of the best is good but I ordered the belt because it specifically stayed it was oatmeal in color. It wasn't, it's more of a khaki color belt and not the oatmeal color I was after. Again... Quality was fine but the description stayed, was incorrect.
