Instead of a serious of beeps, you get a soft screeching noise. It's hard to hear, especially if your keys are in a pocket or bag. Something about this screech also makes it harder to determine the direction from which the noise comes from. We often can't tell if we're in the right room or not. Equally frustrating, there's a noticeable lag between pushing the button and hearing the noise. It's maddening, because you can't tell if you've pushed it and are just too far away or if you are in the right room and just have to wait for the screech.We also have trouble keeping the battery covers in place-- lost two already!

this is my phone my ATM card, my purse, and anything else I can get my hands on I don't know how I ever survived without this. It works anywhere in our apartment as well as on the patio which is not connected and is loud enough for me to hear which is really saying something! Great deal.

These work pretty well. We put two on our keychains and use the other two as cat-finders (strung onto garment-elastic 'collars' that we put on them only when they're outside). There's some variation in sensitivity in ours; after using them for a little while (we've had them about a month) we've figured out which has the best reception at a distance and use that one on the sneakier cat. They all work, though, and have been very helpful.

Let's start with the bad. Not very loud so if your keys are under a cushion you better have complete silence in the room to hear it. Second, I put a key finder on the remote with buttons and now the remote and the key finder are lost and I can't ping the key finder without the remote. :(On to the good. The finder attachments are pretty small. I hate to have stuff attached to my keys. They are bright and oval.

I loose my keys all the time. My husband not me these after we spent 2 hours looking for my keys to find them under the couch, don't ask how they got there I have no idea. Now when I loose my keys it takes about 30 seconds to find them. And yes I loose them in my purse all the time. Lol

Added my batteries to the base unit (as advertised) and all remotes functioned properly. One was a little louder sounding than the other 3, and for our purposes, ALL 4 could have been louder. When keys are missing, a loud alarm is EXACTLY what we want. In fairness, all of them were louder than another product we'd purchased for a family member's use.

These things are real crapy, for lack of a better word. The sound they make is auditable, but the speakers act like their blown. The review i read said they also light up. They have a tiny red light that blinks when their button is pushed. This is the worst part. the battery covers on the recievers don't lock into place with any kind of force. so what happens is, the cover comes off with no effort then the battery falls out. Amazon should not sell crap like this.

I'm so happy to have it. It is great. Only one thing that is bothering me a little - is that the battery is small, round and the closure is not very secure. I have a baby, and to manage this I just closed the battery with the glue.
