BAG-it & PERMA-lid Combo for LitterMaid Receptacles - an end to buying!

This is the perfect solution for automatic litterboxes. I have the nature's miracle box and it fits perfectly. The only thing different about the Nature's Miracle box over the LitterMaid is the black lid to the recptacle. It's got two circular spots the disposible box lid fits into but with the NM They are covered. So with the perma-lid just do the screws from underneath instead of from above and voila. I also buy the charcol filter things separtely and stick them to the lid. Don't think they help with the smell but they make me feel better. Being able to use a bag is the best thing ever! I love that little simple plastic piece. I had been very messily putting the clumps and poo in the litter genie so I could use the boxes longer. Now I don't need to buy boxes ever again! I love that this company who makes dog tags and other lazer cut things saw a need and made a solution. That's really genius. I can't recommend this enough.

Does improve the emptying process. Yes, it does not come with the tray. The "combo" in the description is for the insert for the plastic bag and the new solid lid to use instead of the current lid on the litter box that has the holes to insert the top half of those little trays. Even though it doesn't come with the tray(s), we have all been buying up those trays to use anyway. Now you only have to use one for the longest time, until it falls apart or you are unfortunate enough to have a hole in your bag. You still have to empty the litter, but this bag makes it easier to do. Usually, the emptying process is awkward because the tray is flimsy. This way you empty the plastic bag without messing with the tray. One thing that makes it even better, is that the insert loop actually makes the tray stronger and doesn't pop off anymore. Doesn't completely alleviate the mess, but it is an improvement.

It works really well with grocery bags and has saved me a lot of money as a result. I haven't had to switch out the plastic container for months, and I don't suspect I will ever need to. This product is the perfect solution. Plus the grocery bags are easier to carry to the dumpster than the rigid receptacles were. Although you can buy the BAG-it by itself, I would suggest getting the PERMA-lid too. Inevitably, some poop will get on the lid of the receptacle. The smooth PERMA-lid is a lot easier to clean than the standard lid that comes with the LitterMaid receptacles. There is only one place where the BAG-it has fallen short for me. Somehow, litter manages to get under the bag and into the receptacle itself. So every once in a while I have to remove the receptacle and dump the litter back into the litter box. But really, it's a minor inconvenience when compared to how much money this product will save.

I didn't buy this for the bag function. I bough this item for the laser plastic top in order for it to seal the top part of the littermaid completely so no odors could escape out of the top two holes. This works better than recharging the charcoal filters and has drastically reduced odors from the entire unit since it nearly gets a perfect seal.As for the bottom part of the bag insert, it is kind of flimsy, so star removed. If I had been buying it for the bag insert, I think I would have been very disappointed (however for my purposes it works well.)

I have now purchased a total of 4 of these. They say it's made of polycarbonate, but i don't believe them. It's so flimsy, it quickly breaks. Even handling ultra gently doesn't help. I've then had to repair them with an acrylic glue that doesn't work with polycarbonate. (That's why I doubt them.) I've used paper clips, embedded in a resin mix to get extra life from them, after they break.They should make the ring out of something more sturdy at the price they are charging.I'm "adapting" ideas, and may market a competitive product if I can't find a better solution.

This works well to hold the plastic bag in place. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that when the tray if full of kitty waste, sometimes I have to touch the waste to get to the BAG-it frame, but that's mainly because the tray was pretty full. I have two cats and the tray seemed to fill up pretty quickly. Now I have "High-Capacity litter disposal system for Littermaid which works great. So I no longer need the BAG-it thing.

I was disappointed in this product. The bag-it isn't quite wide enough to sit securely on the receptacle. I had previously had one that worked just fine.I am revising my original review. I was under the impression that the Bag-It sat on top of the receptacle which was wrong. It seats inside the receptacle on top of the bump outs. Once I figured that out, it's working just fine. It's a great way to recycle grocery bags & cuts down on the expense of having to replace the receptacles.

This sounded like such a great idea. But it failed miserably.First of all, the Bag-It frame does not fit securely in the litter tray. This means that contrary to the advertisement, "stuff" leaks around the frame and down into the tray which is supposed to stay "pristine". Second, the side to side thickness of the frame means that "stuff" ends up on top, smooshed against the tray lid. And finally, when you go to remove the bag, the "stuff" which it did manage to collect causes the bag to swell sideways so you can't get it out without massaging it through the frame and risking ripping it and distributing the "stuff" everywhere.After about the 3rd attempt, I just put the bag in the tray WITHOUT the Bag-It, and folded the top down around the OUTSIDE of the tray. This actually works pretty well. It's a little hard to get the tray into the litter box, but it keeps the tray clean and is fairly easy to remove to discard the "stuff".The Perma-lid does the job and is a worthwhile investment by itself. The Bag-It is a waste of plastic.
