The FV-M8 is a powerful GPS receiver from San Jose Navigation. The receiver features a 5Hz update rate and compatibly from 3.3V to 5.0V and is Arduino compatible. The cable can be cut in order to hookup to your breadboard, or jumper wires can be inserted into the female connector as a means of connecting the signal to an Arduino or other micro-controller. When you are ready to integrate into your final design, surface mount connectors are available to integrate into your design. The main goal of FV-M8 is to be used as a part of integrated system, which can be a simple PVT (Position-Velocity-Time) system, for instance, G-mouse, PND (Personal Navigation Device), or complex wireless systems, such as a system with GSM function, a system with Bluetooth function, and a system with GPRS function.
