Too much
This Book had a lot of promise. I feel that the author over explained too many of the scenes. In other words too much verbiage for one scene and she kept rehashing situations over and over. I don’t know it just got to be too much for me. I will not be reading the second book in the series.

An Alpha that I find hard to hate...lol
Different authors have taken a stab at the Omegaverse but not all have succeeded in my opinion. Laxmi makes it fresh and new. I can't take too much darkness so this book makes me happy because even though Zeus and his Squirrel start off on the wrong foot, you can feel that this is just more that an Alpha taking an Omega. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but give credit to Laxmi for developing a world most of us couldn't.And I recommend reading the prequel Wanted by the Alpha before this book. It's a nice appetizer for the First Course...lol

This book follows the path of Claire and Sheppard 'so story, but it's not as exciting!
I didn't find this book as exciting as the preview made it out to be. And I was highly disappointed with the ending. So I don't think I will be excited about the next book in this series , if there is one. However, I do like most of the omega verse books and will try out some of the others.

Never Say Never!
Lucy has taken on the task of saving her clan of Omegas by sneaking in and murdering the General, you see the Omegas are the only ones that can bear children to the Alphas and she will not degrade herself to that, neither will her clan of Omegas that have escaped Russia after being promised to the Vikings by her father the Czar of Russia. Little does she suspect that her plan will play out against herwhen she is unraveled in the presence of Zeus.Zeus never counted on this slip of a girl to capture his heartless heart, yet she has him chasing after her in the ruined East End where he grew up.. He will bond to her again if he finds her in time, but it will be different this time for she has changed him, only she doesn't know that yet. Will it be too late for Zeus, will Lucy end it all once and for all?

Book 2 keeps going
I liked the prequel & bought book 1 “Taken by the Alpha” only to find that the story is exactly the same & doesn’t really progress at all except for her escape & brief capture by the enemy only for her to escape (we never read how she escaped) & be recaptured by her mate. Her inner-turmoil is just way too long. I like the story, but honestly if the trend continues, this 8-book series should be condensed to 2 books, one for each couple. All the books come to a total of $22... too much for essentially 2 books.

Scorching Hot
Zeus and Lucy's story grabbed me from the very beginning and never let me go. It was true omegaverse with the down and dirty sex, mix of pleasure and pain and awakening heart. I can't wait to keep on reading their story.

Gave up
The meet, they fight, they bang, they argue, they bang... I gave up. I got about half way through before throwing in the towel. I was disappointed after reading the prequel that neither mentions the dreams so far. And the whole thing is over descriptive. How many times do you need to mention getting hard or wet?? Good lord... has potential but flopped for me.

Longing
This second book in the series took me by surprise. It had all the hard core loving you come to expect from this dystopian series, but there was a lot of emotion and longing to pull at your heart strings. In Zeus we have an alpha that is able to learn and change. He fights what is happening between him and Lucy, but at the same time he begins to embrace the bond forming between them. If you like danger, passion and drama this story is for you.

Very over Descriptive
The amount of feelings, thoughts, and sexual descriptions seems very repetitive. I kid you not his c*** gets harder at least twenty times before they touch then it continues to get harder another 10 times at least... I was getting disinterested because the actual interaction that builds relationships is very limited. I enjoyed the story when the General was with his men... it actually was telling you something about the characters. But in all honesty this story has made the entire relationship of the Omega Lucy and the General all about sex which is leaving me wishing there were more communication and less hardening and heat. The story is quite simply General meets Lucy when she comes to his place to attack and kill him to save her Omega clan from the same guy the General wants dead. The General has sex with her for days, then plots with his men to go after his enemy, only the girl escapes, falls In the river, he goes after her but she is swept away... the Enemy has her... the General starts to realise the mating link is connecting their life forces and that she is suicidal and he chases her using the link... she jumps off a cliff maybe he does too... oh and during the part where the General and his men are talking he is told by his second that he also found his mate but he left her until he returned and she was sold to Vikings... if you read the first story you know she is part of Lucy's clan she is trying to save. I soo wish this story had focused on the plotting to defeat the enemy and the General's desire to give Omegas a choice instead it gives Lucy no options... I probably won't read anymore in the series because it just seems less interesting with a million words to describe an act that usually takes only a chapter... here it is more than 5 chapters for the first time... interesting storyline but the telling is very long and boring in parts... with too much thinking, feelings, and active description, not enough interacting and actions outside the bedroom.

It's way to hot to back down now.....
This seriously is one hot read. With explosive love scenes and intense moments this is one heck of a great book,it will leave you all hot and bothered. You can't fight fate. If you belong together then why fight it. The sooner you accept that the better of you'll both be .....however in the case of Zeus and Lucy it won't be that simple. She's in denial and he's to headstrong. To much is happening around them and it's not looking good. It maybe to late before they admit what they are to each other . They also have to many things blocking they're way to each other........... Wish I could find my Zeus.

LOVE this series
I was first introduced to this series with the prequel - meeting Zeus his vendetta, his anger issues, his highly erotic re-occurring dreams about an Omega meant solely for him (find out it's Lucy.) I feel another reviewer (Lewendon)summed up this story exceptional well in her headline, "It is raw and instinctual at the most visceral level." There is no subterfuge in these characters or the telling of their stories. How it is written makes you feel like you are a voyeur, somehow being integrated into their lives and emotions. If you have not started reading this series, you are missing out as it is pure heat, primal sexuality, human emotions that are raw and honest and shows the struggle of life (their lives anyway.)

Impossible to connect
I am sad to say this book was near impossible to get into and connect with the characters. Each chapter was nothing but contradictory comments and constant back and forth with no conviction or progress. It was basically one big merry go round with no end in sight. I couldn't connect to the characters or even find them to be believable. There was no definite character building aside from the fact that the Alpha is an Alpha and she is an omega. I could see the authors were trying to set them apart from the norm and give them more but it fell short and only made them less intriguing. It was frustrating to read, irritating when the sex scenes had no build up or even and explosive climax and they only seemed to flounder and never end. I found myself skipping past to try and get the story to move forward only for it to circle back and start all over again.I pushed through only to be left deeply annoyed at the ending that didn't inspire me to want to read the next book in the series.I will however applaude the authors for thier writing and believe that all reviews help to push us to improve and strive to write something better next time. Even tho the story and premise wasn't 5 stars to me, the authors did create some very vivid images. I hope to be blown away by something new from these authors in the future.
