This shirt from the WarbirdShirts collection features the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. Developed as the Vietnam War drew to a close, the F-15 was the United States Air Force’s succesor to the F-4 Phantom and counterpart to the Navy’s F-14 Tomcat. The Air Force introduced the Eagle as “the first dedicated USAF air superiority fighter since the North American F-86 Sabre.” The Eagle entered the U.S. service in 1976, and later joined the air forces of Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Japan. With a kill-loss record of 104 to 0 in these nations' various conflicts, the F-15 remains undefeated to this day.
