Great for core strength in kids with weak muscle tone.
This stool is great for working on my son's core strength. He has weak muscle tone and motor skills, and this helps him focus more when working on his homework but also building strength. He's 6 now and struggled with the balance aspect more a year ago, but he's definitely getting stronger. We tell him he can watch TV as long as he sits on his stool, so it's win-win because he doesn't realize he's working on his muscle strength but still isn't strong enough to sit on it for more than 30-45 minutes at a time. It's a little expensive for a stool, but we've also tried quite a few equally expensive ones that did not work for my son. I wish I had started with this one. I heard about these stools in a Carol Kranowitz DVD.

Good investment
I am a pediatric Occupational therapist. The kids who are work with really like the stool and ask to sit on it. They are giving themselves sensory input and strengthening their core. I had another stool like this with a medal frame that I liked better because it had more height levels. I can't find it anymore and this one is good.

Qood Quality
This is a well made, sturdy balance stool. For us, the only down side is that the description didn't come with a height, and it is a little too tall to be used with the extension bar at this point. That means that the balance part is not as challenging as is intended right now.

Ease to install
This worked well with my son. Only problem was he would use it as a weapon but luckily no one was hurt.

Exactly what we expected.
It arrived quickly and is exactly what we expected and helps our little guy stay focused in his Sunday school class.
