Works for Windows 8!
I bought this connector after a frustrating month or so trying to get my NT-based Prolific USB to RS232 connectors to work in Windows 8. I had some success after loading several different pre-NT drivers, but finally decided to buy this BrainBoxes convertor. It worked the first time out of the box, and has had no problems. Bravo!

I also use this on Windows 98 and XP computers to graph data streams from analog output devices. Works right out of the box.
