Hodenn U-Bolt Spare Tire Carrier Holder Bracket Side Mount 4 or 5 Lug Zinc Plated

This item has metric sized nuts, which are barely larger than the rim hole in a 15" rim. Flat washers would be needed under the nuts. The nut is too large for a 5/8" wrench, but too small for an 11/16" wrench. A 17mm metric wrench fit just right. The Amazon close-up picture of the two nuts shows lug nuts, but the two supplied nuts are regular nuts, which have too much wobble as they are screwed down. Either the threaded rod or the nuts seem to be mis-sized.The rod diameter itself is smaller than 7/16". Finally, in my opinion, this U-bolt is too flimsy for a 205/75D15 tire and rim, but would probably work fine for a smaller tire/rim combination. Will be returning the item.

I should have read the product description more carefully. The product includes standard nuts, not *LUG* nuts which would help keep the spare tire in place. Caveat emptor. You get what you pay for.

As advertised. What I would like to see improved is making the 2 provided mounting nuts to be a size that a 4-way lug wrench could be used with, minimizing the need for another wrench to loosen the nuts provided. Convenience is king when on the road. Not everyone carries a wrench to get the tire off the mount.Thanks

Fits my trailer and wheel perfectly. Super easy and heavier duty than I thought it would be.

Very easy to mount on most anywhere,i went with the 8.5 inch to mount a 4.8 12 on a 5 lug wheel there was alot of thread left i had to use a washer underneath to hold it tight..

Very easy to install. Only thing I would have liked to have is tapered nuts for the wheel. Not a big deal since they only have to hold the wheel stationary.

Easy to install...mounted a spare tire on a trailer. did not want to spend a fortune on a tire mount and this fit the bill.
