MOOG 81088 Coil Spring Set for 1996-2009 Toyota 4Runner

Very happy I purchased these springs. They were the difference of night and day for my 4Runner. Worth every penny in my opinion.

These are fantastic replacement springs for my 2003 Toyota 4Runner! Love how they ride (initially they are a little stiff but they soften up to a good point very quickly). Makes me realize how shot my original XREAS suspension with 245k on it was. Direct replacement that I was able to take to my local brake shop and have them install along with new shocks (Bilstein 5100s). Gives the truck a perfect level stance with these springs giving me an extra 2-3 inches of clearance in the front. Highly recommend!

Matched these springs up with 81041 for the rear + Bilstein 5100's all around for my 3rd Gen 4runner. Overall I'm pleased with the ride. Noticed a big difference in ride quality after installing these and the 5100's. After about 5k miles they still ride great and have settled a bit. Unfortunately I didn't take any pre and post measurements to compare the heights.

Basically these fit my 1998 4Runner perfectly, and the back is slightly higher than the front even with the new front stunts. This is nice because it gives the back of the truck some room for it to settle over time. You won’t be disappointed.

Paired with moog 81041 coils and daystar 1" spacers for about 3" of lift. Rides just as good as stock with less body roll. Would buy again.

This springs are NOT a factory replacement for a 3rd gen 4Runner. Expect at least a 1" lift and be aware that you will need to have a longer throwing shock. Also the ends of these coils are round... not squared out to rest flat on the top plate. It is really not a quality product and I would stay away.

These are a great replacement for my 4Runner. Moog seems to be a 4-letter word in the 4R community, but for the price, you can't go wrong. Even gave a slight lift over what was originally on my truck. Would buy again.
