Great, low-fatigue, light helmet
This is just plain "A great helmet". It's REALLY light. Plastic is very thin. Blocks splatter and cherries like it should but is more comfortable than a heavier hood so you can wear it longer. I find myself leaving it on, in the up position, while I'm chipping slag, measuring, marking, moving the work etc. With heavier helmets I would have to take it off, including loosening the suspension piece, then putting it BACK on, tightening the suspension etc. With this one, I just leave it on, sometimes for an hour or more. Fits cheater lenses just fine. Dials to any darkness degree you want, lower for plasma, higher for MIG, higher still for stick etc. Suspension is better than the helmets at the harbor or the northern place. More variable and more secure. Adjust it so it fits your nomex balaclava, safety glasses, do-rag, welding cap, whatever.

Among the best
I am a welder. I do MIG, fluxcore, and arc welding all day...but I'm also a tightwad, so I was looking for the most helmet for the money. I don't know if this is it, but it's very close. I've worn $350 helmets and I've worn this one, and personally, I can't tell the difference. One thing you should note about this helmet is that the clarity is 1/1/1/2, with the highest being all ones, the lowest being all threes. The last number doesn't matter alot to me; the first two, however, are very important. PROs: well made, lightweight, the headband is highly adjustable and comfortable, and the knob for grindmode/ dimmer is on the outside, which means I can essentially use my helmet as safety glasses and keep working without taking it off. (other adjustments are on the inside, but those are very seldom tampered with). Four arc sensors ensure that it functions properly after prolonged usage--like if splatter covers up a sensor or two. Also, although this helmet probably isn't recommended for overhead welding, it still holds up well. The first helmet I ever bought, an ANTRA, has holes burned through it after welding overhead with 6011 rods. CONS: The bag it comes with is so cheap that it started tearing after the first day of carrying it. I didn't buy it for the bag, though. On the inside of the helmet, there is another plastic protective covering over the optics. There is weld splatter that will still somehow come over the hood, but this covering seems superfluous--what it does very well, though, is fog up with hot breath and sweat...so I took it off (it's removeable).

Nice Welding Helmet
Great helmet. The day it arrived, I had several welding jobs to do and it performed great. Good weight and not to bulky. Looking forward to see how it works with my oxy-acetylene torch.Looked at several before deciding on this one. I would say it was money well spent. I'd recommend this helmet

Comfortable, works great
Comfortable, works great. The larger lens area compared to some of the lesser expensive helmets is worth paying a little extra for a alone, but add the super fast darkening and how easily adjustable the light control is, it is really makes this helmet worth the money.

good viewing size
it has a fast reaction time, wouldn't go less. good viewing size, my opinion this would be the minimum size for viewing. It has a green tinge in welding background, different helmets/make have their own color tinge. good sensors . Main concern was the helmet space for putting on a respirator uncomfortable, too small. had to make minor adjustment to put a miller adapter to a fibre-metal .

If you believe only one review in your life, make it this one
This helmet is a waste of money. You are not able to see the weld pool or the work piece sufficiently enough to do a good job. I bought a Lincoln, for twice the money, and its a world of difference. This helmet has a green tint that doesn't allow for clear viewing. If you believe only one review in your life, make it this one. Spend the extra money and get the Lincoln, miller or Jackson. I have the Lincoln 3350 on the way. I almost through this thing in the trash once I tried my lab partners 3350 helmet. You would be surprised how quickly you welds improve when you can actually see the pool and the weld.

Looks like a great product
Looks like a great product, but it is a bit complicated to figure out all the choices for settings. I need a little more time to fool around with them, but it seems to work very well so far. I very much like the expanded vision size. It came with protective cloth bag and an extra lens. I would have ordered the protective head cap had I hadn't been so cheap for the extra $6.
