This thing is plug and play
You have to ad a hard drive. That's not a big deal at all. I opened the box, installed the hard drive, connected power, monitor, network cable to the remote antenna. We mounted the 4 cameras. Pictures were beamed right to the device. It was recording right away. We use it at our cabin to record for thieves. 1 camera has a faint signal. Not sure why as they all are about the same distance from the main box. See note 3 for coming and going from your property. .NOTE:1. You need to install your own hard drive.2. if you can find power extension cords, do it. If not, you will have to get a spool of 120vac wire and install your own plugs on either end.3. you can not turn off the recording without shutting off the main box.

Works well and is durable through many electric outages!

Does not come with hard drive! You need a hard drive in order to record!
The product is having issues with the WiFi and doesn’t always show a great picture quality it disconnects a lot but works well when it wants to.
