The Boho Manifesto: An Insider's Guide to Postconventional Living Kindle Edition

This book has pride of place on the middle of my coffee table. It's such a fun book to just pick up and dip into. It's as if the Preppy Handbook went to Burning Man and came back totally transformed... in the best way. I would call it a satire, except there is not a mean thing in it. It's loving, wry, and totally spot on... highly recommended!!!

Chaplin takes you on a fun, irreverent, and satirical trip down the rabbit hole of the Boho generation. It is an eye opening adventure, with a true believer and observer of the phenomenon.

Interesting read, beautifully designed

One of my favorit book

Nothing felt bohemian about this book. I've read many books on bohemianism. Far prefer the book on the subject by Laren Stover.

This is a cute fun book. Some of the information is practical and some of it is wishful thinking. The illustrations show a lot humor. Even if you are not ready to embrace the entire lifestyle you will still enjoy reading this book and you may pick up a few helpful suggestions. Enjoy

The title shamelessly rips-off Lauren Stover's semi-classic "The Bohemian Manifesto" which should have been my first clue. I was only a few pages in when I realized this book was written by Julia Chapin who wrote a series of equally obnoxious tomes about bohemian style in a "Gypset" series of books. At least the pictures in those were nice. If you think attending a yoga class, having a crush on a cute "guru", buying your clothes from "Free People", attending "Burning Man" and having left of center political beliefs makes you a bohemian, this book is for you.
