strong weeder
works great for any weed that won't grow back having the roots cut off and not pulled 100%. its built for use and holds up great. being my ground was saturated I was able to get under the long dandelion root and lift the whole plant without cutting off sections of the root. only under ideal circumstances will that work for me.

A wimp
This isn't so very useful for weeding. It just doesn't go deep enough to tear out roots. Thinking of carrying it on the subway and the bus for personal protection, though, because it does look like it means business.

waste of money

WW600 - Not sharp, doesn't penetrate soil, still have to kneel
This review is for the WW600 model - reviews are all mixed up on this page. My favorite weeder is likeĀ this one , a forked end on a shaft about a foot long with a wooden handle. This Winged Weeder has a somewhat similar end on a much longer tubular steel handle with a T grip at the end,. I find the WW600 doesn't dig into the soil as easily (the "wing: is wider and isn't sharp at all). It does a reasonable job with weeds but I find it sometimes leaves part of the root in the ground. You still have to kneel to pick up the weed.It works, but I'd much rather just use the simpler and cheaper weeder that doesn't have me repeatedly getting up and down. Maybe other models of this weeder work better, but I was not impressed with the WW600.

Perfect for Raised Beds
I have quite a few 4X8 foot raised beds with closely spaced vegetable plants and this little weeder is perfect for getting in between these plants.

Works
I like the tool for weeding. It's self sharpening seems to work. I don't like the T-handle since it's 90 degree offset. If going after dandelions, this probably works best. Not my issue. Well constructed! Holding up well, solid quality. Head is much smaller than the picture portrays.
