Excellent product - can hurt
I use this roller for two different things: to 'massage' leg muscles and in Pilates exercises at home. The massaging is not comfortable but that's OK if I find it helps lengthen tight muscles. In theory it is better to do a few minutes on the roller - a process I call leg-ironing - most days than get a weekly sports massage. At the time of writing I don't know effective this will be.The Pilates exercises mostly use the roller as a source of instability, resting the whole back and head on the roller before doing (e.g.) knee floats. If you are used to doing pilates mat work with a soft ball under the pelvis you will find the roller is more demanding. I find the roller rather uncomfortable but it does allow me to do a harder workout, a reasonable trade-off.I was shown both ways of working in one-to-one lessons with a pilates teacher but think it would be fairly easy to learn leg massage without assistance.

They see me rollin'
I just started foam rolling recently with my buddy Jeff. He suggested I get some PVC pipe to roll with instead of spending money on a foam roller. "No thanks Jeff" I told him, and boy am I glad I did. This piece of kit is just the right firmness and has perfect dimensions with which to foam roll. Its very durable and looks like it will last for years, making it a worthwhile investment. I can confirm, a great product. 5/5, would buy again.

Why did i wait so long
This is a wonderful bit of kit. I dont know why i waited so long to get one. I use it every day now and have very little back problems any more. I probably dont use it to the fullness of its capability but its brilliant for what i need. I looked at more expensive options but settled on this one for its weight capability. Different colours and foams have different weight ratings. I have seen softer foams distort and collapse with heavier use. At 17stone i need something firm. This is a great bit of kit at a reasonable price.

Great roll
Well it's a foam roller and it's every bit as strong as a foam roller needs to be.
