Cured by Drain Problems.
After many visits by Roto Rooter to clean out my drain clogs in my older house that had metal drains, not PVC, it was discovered that laundry lint from the drain in the Laundry Room was eventually clogging the sewer line junction where the Kitchen & Baths drain pipes meet. This really works well and will astound how much clogging lint does down the drain. Would also suggest using with the drain Lint Trapper for more protection.

Great Idea. Didn't Work.
I just moved to the country and am on an aging septic that needs some love and attention. I thought this would be a great help. It IS a good idea but is too much work to be a practical benefit. It catches the lint just fine, but the trap also fills up with each load with means you have to pull out the water discharge hose, take the trap off, clean it out and put it back on. That's just not realistic with the amount of laundry we do.

For the price I don't like these any more that the metal ones that cost less than half. Do they work? Yes , but nothing special

Great product - highly recommend it
There's a reason I keep buying these filters...THEY actually work. I go through about 1 every month and then toss it in the trash can. They do not eliminate all the lint going into the water pipes but probably 80% of it. The reason I know there's still lint around is I have a second filter on the drain pipe and see the lint. But still this is a great product, inexpensive, and definitely worth the money. I would give it a perfect score if it took out all the lint, but since it takes out roughly 80% that's the reason for the score.

Lint trap stocking
Just the ticket. Simple, inexpensive and it works! I always keep a spare one handy. You might too for a quick change if necessary.

Well worth purchasing
This product is fantastic and worth the purchase and last longer than anything purchased in a store.

The aluminum mesh ones work better
I've used the cheap aluminum metal mesh lint traps for years and have been satisfied but thought I'd try these after the rave reviews. They work fine but not as well as the metal ones. The way I know this is that I have a sump pump that drains the water coming out of my washer (the reason I need the filters...). It has it's own trap and when I use the metal filters I have very little to clean from the pump's filter once a year, telling me the metal filters are doing their job. With the Lil Apple filters my pump actually started backing up because its filter was full even before the year was up.

Cleanable, reusable, works
Had a chronically clogged slop sink from washing-machine lint. This plus http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007IVDKII (drain trap) eliminated the buildup. Doesn't rust and die every few uses like super-market metal mesh traps.Clean every 2-weeks by *gently* rolling inside out and stretching out the mesh, picking out the lint that pops free. Pulling too hard will break the mesh. Handled gently, will last a year.
