My one year old LOVES his hippo waterfall!
My one year old loves this! It's so cute! My son loves the way the water "waterfalls" out of his mouth, and the fanning of the water makes the bible bath a lot more bubbly. And, of course, if my son were to slip in the tub, this seems like it would protect his head from the metal faucet (the main reason I bought it), but I hope to never have to test that. I rated it 5 stars because my son loves it so so much, but I do have a couple complaints. First, my water bill is going to be much higher because my son gets so upset when the water is turned off now. But really, the hippo does not fit our faucet well. It's a really tub and faucet, so it's not surprising. It stays on well enough that it doesn't fall off when the water is on, but a slight bump knocks it off. So after a bath, I pull it off so that people taking showers don't have to mess with it falling off. Second, on that, there is a hole in the hippos chin to let trapped water drain, but it only works well at the angle it is when on the faucet. If you plan on not leaving this on the tub, it's hard to prop it up at an angle to get it to drain right.Oh, and if you are curious, the head goes on in front of the pull on the top of the faucet to turn on the shower, so if need to turn the shower on, you don't have to remove the hippo head. However, if you have a weird faucet (like ours) that you pull down in the bottom of the faucet, you will have to remove the hippo to turn on the shower.

Too much play appeal for the child
This faucet cover fits just fine over the spout and would absolutely stay there.......except my son, who is under two, loves playing with the Hippo and will pull it off the spout every single bath. So while I think cover is fun-looking and fits as expected on the faucet, it also looks too much like a toy and the end-result is that your child might be even more attracted to the spout then before. I obviously purchased this because I thought it was cute, but am definitely realizing belatedly that perhaps cute should not be my focus when purchasing something that is essentially a safety item. I would pass next time and with no disrespect to the designer/manufacturer as the quality and function are certainly there.

Too Small
Not a bad product, but the opening is too small to fit on my spout. This is because my particular type of spout has a pull-up mechanism at the end of it to allow for a choice between a shower and a bath. The hippo spout cover did not fit over it, so I could never get a snug fit. Anyway, I wish it would have worked. It is very cute and a sturdy product. The manufacturer should probably say something in their advertising about the point that it won't work with my type of spout. That is my only criticism.

So far so good. We have an unusual long and narrow faucet ...
So far so good. We have an unusual long and narrow faucet so I wasn't sure if this would fit. 2" diameter 7" long. The hippo fits but just barely and it will fall off it bumped hard enough. That being said, it does fit and prevents my kid from knocking his skull on the faucet during bath time so I am happy.I don't see how this would fit a traditional pull-up-shower faucet. The opening is too narrow and there isnt a place on the top of the hippo to pull a shower tab.

No more worrying!
The hippo bath faucet cover was not only a cool addition to bath time but it brought so much piece of mind. I always worried that might daughter might slip, stand up and hit the faucet, hit her teeth, etc on it. It was always on the back of my mind and I was always watching out for me. I might be a little protective but it only takes once! By putting the faucet cover on, its thick plastic and grip really make bath time more enjoyable.Pros:Non slipEasy to push onFun to see water coming out of its mouthDaughter loves itHard plastic for safetyCons:When its off the faucet it can hold water inside and its kind of a pain to get it out, but might as well leave it on.

Made it fit and love it!
I just received this is the mail and went to see if it fit the faucet in our current apartment.. and it doesn't. BUT I was so determined to make it fit because it's so cute and different! I simply got a kitchen knife and cut it to fit. It's not perfect.. some water runs out the back and you have to take it off for shower capabilities, but we love It! I would recommend it because it serves it's purpose well.

Very cute but does not fit wider faucets
I love the look of this product. I had the fish one and didn't like it so I ordered this one. The hole is very narrow and it does not fit wider faucets. I was going to return it, but found a way to tie and secure it in place. It's still unsafe because my son can pull it down easily. The design (inside) is not practical. I love the look of it and would have rated it 5 star if it fit properly.

Its alright.
We like it and it works well for protecting our sons head during his bath. The only downside is that it's difficult to get on and off of the faucet, and when it's on you cannot pull the shower piece up, so you have to take it off between baths. If it wasn't so difficult to get on and off this wouldn't be a problem. Otherwise it works well and my son loves the way the water comes out of the mouth.
