YourStory 375100 Book Binder and Laminator

Gave as a christmas gift. Wife loves it. Does everything she wanted it to do.The machine has worked without mechanical breakdowns and is fairly quiet too.

Hi i bought this book binder to make my own history books that i write, and that i give to familymembers ,and for making family tree albums, i have to say this binder works great and so does the laminatorit is very easy to operate and if you don't understand how to follow the written directions you can always go on youtubeand look up how to use it. youtube can also show you how to make your own covers and even if one day you can no longer get the your story binder albums you can make your own all you need is a hot glue gun and you glue the spine area of the album leaving a 1/8 of an inch or a little more at the end of the album spine with out glue, so when you bind it the glue goes not come over the edge and gum up your machine, but after you hot glue the inside of the spine let it dry for 5 min,so its hard then use your,your story book binder. PLEASE BE Aware that the book binder is great for using regular computer paper and thin photogloss paper if you try to bind thick card stock paper it will not hold the bind as they are to thick and heavyRichard K

Bought the YourStory in 2012 and it stayed in the box due to our being out of the country for a long period of time and then the new addition to our home which allowed a large room just for crafting. In 2015, I opened the box to make 10 small books about the creation for children's church. I was able to complete 6 books and on the 7th, the unit quit working. Would not laminate nor would it bind. The six books that it did complete had only 8 pages inside the binder and were beautifully done. However, some children received books that were not nearly as nice as I had to melt the glue strips with my heating tool over and over to get the pages to stick with the binder. Worst part of it all is that there is no fix to this product when it stops working. It's sitting on a shelf as I am hoping to hear someday of what can be done. I really need a product that can do as this one should have done.

I bought this since I needed to laminate A LOT of stuff for homeshool, so I figured buying my own machine would be way cheaper than paying at the office store. I couldn't be happier with this little machine, it's super light weight, laminates fast, heats up fast(like 2 min or so), plus it doesn't take much space at all when storing. The only time you need extra room is when you are laminating, wich needs the extra space for the paper to go in/out the machine. I couldn't believe the price, there's only 2 links for this pruduct here on Amazon, this is the lower price of the 2, plus it comes with extra binders and a cutter. The cutter come with 4 blades: 2 straight, 1 scalloped, 1 scored(wich I love), I found the cutter alone at $25 online!!Packaging was excellent, delivery and tracking was a little tricky tho. FYI, I read a comment about the machine turning off after 30 min of use...well yeah, it says so in the manual(page 1 or 2) it's to prevent over heating, if it happens while laminating jut hit the ON button then the down arrow and you're set, just turn it back off after you're done with that last page! Would recommend this to whomever needs a laminating machine and doesn't want to pay a lot for it.

The YourStory 375100 BookBinder and Laminator is easy to understand and easy to use. I used it to make mock-ups for a poetry/art book that I had been working on for about three years. I don't know anything about scrapbooking projects, I just needed a way to put together a book in a nice hard binding and present it to some friends in India for a special event. I have never used the laminator part of the machine, but I can say without any reservation that the binding function works great. And it works so fast. Five minutes and a copy was ready to put into a box and ship out! I love it when machines work! This one does exactly what it's supposed to do. I bought it through Amazon.com.

I have had this laminator for just two years and the heating element no longer heats, which means I can no longer use this, what a drag. It did the job well as a laminator, but for only two years.

I really want to return it; it didn't bind as I wanted it to. Maybe because of the purpose. If it was for crafting purpose then it may it will hold the purpose.

The YourStory 375100 Book Binder and Laminator is a great product for a great price. We originally got it for the office because we needed a laminator, but keep finding new uses for the book binder function, as well. The paper cutter that comes in this set is high quality and easy to use, with several different blades you can switch out for different types of cuts - fun! Also much easier to use that scissors that cut in squiggle lines, for example. Such a good product that I recommended it to my mother-in-law when she offered to buy my husband (an elementary school teacher) a laminator for Christmas - poor me, now I'll have one to use at work AND at home! ;-)
