Masters of the Ring [DVD]

This DVD promised some great matches. But, sad to say, a couple of them were chopped up into highlights. Enjoy it for what it is. I got this DVD as a Christmas present, and it was probably selling for $1.95 at the time. Totally worth that price. Understand that these matches are either "indy" matches or they're from Mexico. So you're not going to get high quality audio and video production you're going to get from WWE. The matches themselves hold up very well. Again, I was very disappointed that the Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr vs Santo & Octagon match was nothing but clips. I know it was a great match and some of you have probably seen the aftermath of this match. But on this DVD, you don't even get a coherent story from the match. Otherwise, this is a great deal.

This dvd is just not worth the price. It should only cost five dollars or so. It's got some hard to find matches but it's bascially a very unprofessional dvd. Some matches look like they were recorded with home video cameras. Also the menus are really bad, even for a low budget dvd. I consider my self a pretty hardcore wrestling fan and I buy alot of hard to find or rare wrestling dvd's but this is just now worth your time.

No commentary, just ringside cameras haha pretty sweet! one of the matches with Chris Benoit is in a small warehouse with maybe a hundred people and its some of the best chain/mat wrestling I've ever seen! some cool stuff in this DVD. young Eddie Guererro is awesome too

Every match on this dvd was (most likely illegally) taped from someone sitting in the crowd. Because of this, it's sometimes hard to tell what's happening in the match. Instead of commentators talking during each match, you'll be "treated" to hearing nothing but noises from the crowd. Most of the matches take place in school gyms in front of maybe 40 people. The Konnan match is clipped into bits & pieces. At this price, you're better off getting the WWE's Chris Benoit dvd, since it has way better matches with Benoit, Guerrero, Sasuke, Liger, & 2 Cold Scorpio from around the same time period (mid-90s), plus it's been professionally produced.

Great movie

I strongly suggest watching this DVD if you are a fan of professional wrestling. The wrestling riot footage from Mexico was insane. Sabe had a crazy match with Al Snow and Terry Funk. Lots of of matches from the When Worlds Collide PPV which is probably the most famous wrestling PPV in the history of pro wrestling. An exciting cage match and I even got to see Eddie Guerrero get his head shaved. Amazing stuff, very rare and very special. This DVD is a must see for all true pro wrestling fans. It's a classic.

The Sabu match, and lucha stuff is great.The camera guy couldn't have gotten any closer.
