The Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer Ring-bound – Illustrated, September 16, 2009

I bought this wedding planner and organizer, which I thought would be brand new for $50. It was missing the bride tote bag, and multiple pages throughout the book. Very disappointed.

I am planning a very low key and low budget wedding but I love being organized with all of my planning. I LOVED the calendar in the back that you could fill in the dates so you could decide when exactly you wanted to start in detail, planning your wedding. It was great! I also love the fact that all of the sections are divided, but it would have been nice if there had been tabs to make it easier to flip to a section in the middle. I appreciated all of the information included in the planner, a lot of the items that they mentioned I hadn't really even considered before.I think my favorite part about this planner however, was the fact that it was basically a three ring binder. This may make it seem cheap to you, but being able to print out my e-mails with valuable information and hole punch them and stick them in was so amazing!! The three hold punch included is not by any means an industrial strength but perfect if you are on the go and just want to stick something in. All in all I love it and would recommend it to anyone!!*** UPDATE ***One month after our wedding: I used this planner up to the very end and even after our wedding!! I put everything inside of it, information from the photographer, the person baking our cake, the officient, addresses ... you name it, it was in there! In addition I used this a lot after the big day because I had researched all of the information about how to change my name before the wedding and had all of the online forms filled out and stuck in the folder partitions in the binder so when the time came I just pulled them out, double checked what documents I needed and then headed off to the DMV and social security office. All in all, I loved this binder for planning my wedding and I hope you do too!!

I only had nine weeks to plan my wedding. I didn't have time to do a ton of shopping for the perfect book to help, so I bought two from Amazon that looked the best and just prayed one would work. This planner would have been fabulous for the bride with a six months or more to plan. It was organized very well, with lots of pockets and places to put things. I initially used both of them to see which one would work, but within a week or so it was obvious the other one was the one I needed. (Instant Wedding Planner: Get from 'Will You?' to 'I Do!' in Record Time (spiral bound) by Jennifer L. Shawne) This planner was so large it came with it's own bag to lug it around! While the bag was cute, I needed something more compact, both in size and the amount of planning stuff it offered. My whole wedding was DIY, except for the videographer and photographer. My mother and I did flowers/invitations/decorating/food/etc.I did like the checklists, and worksheets and a few other things in the planner. I only used maybe 15-25% of the book. The other planner I used 100%, including after my wedding. If I would have had more time to plan my wedding, I have no doubt I could have and would have used this book in full.

Number 1, this is a HUGE binder, I honestly wasn't expecting it to be as large as it is! It has so many helpful topics however, the size it kind of unnecessary in my opinion. Number 2, there are spreadsheet style pages with exactly what you need, but I don't consider my handwriting to be large by any means and I can't possibly write in all the details I need in the spots provided. I'm actually converting everything to a spreadsheet on my own so I have room to actually write in what I need. Number 3, it seems to be a bit dated. Like I mentioned previously, there are a ton of helpful topics and the layout is nice but it says "items italicized are paid for by the groom's parents", maybe I'm wrong but I wasn't aware that parents took on the entire financial burden of a wedding, let alone mostly the bride's parents. I would give it like 3.5 stars if I could, but I feel like I'm redoing so many of the pages on my own which I didn't expect to do so when I bought this. Over all, it's helpful and I'm able to now have a "road map" for this upcoming wedding. I personally would have wanted more space to write in, and it could have been condensed a bit. Also the front of the binder was bent and on the inside cover, it looks like a sticker was ripped off of the paper covering of the binder, and it looks almost used.

If you are a traditional bride (who likes pink) you'll probably love this planner. It is extremely thorough, it includes a time line with everything you could ever need for your wedding. It also includes things such as a list of shots you should take both before and during the wedding. The binder includes a hole punch, business card holder, tote bag (pink, natch) and a pouch for other miscellaneous items.It didn't work well for me. I'm not planning anything close to a traditional wedding and the endless lists of things that I'm not doing was a bit overwhelming to me. I'm also not a fan of pink. We decided to keep a more neutral binder and an 'anti bride' wedding planner as they suit our style much better.I'm also ocd enough when it comes to planning that it really bugged me that there weren't individual dividers included for each section. There are dividers but each divider is marked as a separate section for one section on the front and another on the back. So if there were 12 different chapters, there are only 6 dividers. Even if I loved the rest of this book that would probably bug me enough to return it. If you're going to purchase this planner I suggest grabbing some index dividers from an office supply store to supplement what is included.

I used it for my wedding and I buy it for all new brides as an engagement gift. It was super useful, chalk full of great budgeting tips and spreadsheets to keep organized. There is a folder for each category that not only helps with organization but also allows this planner to turn Into a nice keepsake after the wedding. I’m looking forward to pulling it out with my future DILs and just see how much everything has changed in price and style. What the trends were etc.

LOVE THIS! Perfect for wedding planning and an amazing keepsake! It made planning my wedding so simple and kept me on task so well that by the time the wedding day came I had almost nothing left to do! Mine is now jam packed with all my ideas and all our receipts and business cards that we collected along the way. Lists of things that we did and still needed to do as the year and planning went on. Now I get to keep it and look back at all that fun! Without this planner I think I would have been a stressed out mess, instead I got to actually enjoy the wedding planning and goof off while I did it. Makes a neat scrap book when everything is over too!
