Product Description Original soundtrack to the 2011 video game featuring tracks from Coheed And Cambria, Panic At The Disco, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Raveonettes, Serj Tankian and others. The artists featured on the soundtrack approached their contributions to the album with their own unique interpretations of the stories surrounding Batman. The result is an eclectic mix of dynamic, atmospheric songs for an album that will appeal to fans of both the artists and Batman: Arkham City. From the Artist Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez said, "I write in a very conceptual format with the stories that surround Coheed and Cambria, but Batman has a much larger, defined history and rules that go along with it. My goal was to find universal themes from Batman's existing history to help give the lyrics legs and dimension so that the song could live within that world."

In The Dark Spirit of the Bat
Riddle me this: what would make the perfect soundtrack album to the greatest Batman game ever? This playlist is appropriatley dark and moody, and would make a great soundtrack to a Batman animated movie as well. Some tracks could be thought of as vocal character themes, for instance: the first track, "Mercenary" by Panic! At The Disco could be the theme for Batman himself, "Deranged" by Coheed and Cambria could be the vocal theme for The Joker, "Trophy Widow" by The Damned Things would make an awsome boss theme (esspecially for the final boss) and the final track, "Total Paranoia" by Serj Tankian, while not exactly being the best song in the world, could never the less be the vocal theme for Batman vs. Ra's Al Ghoul. Over all the tracks blend together nicely and the album as a whole sounds really cool. My experience with it was similar to a fellow reviewer, at first I thought "eh, it's okay", but the more I listened to it the more I liked it. In short, this album is no joke. It's the perfect companion piece to Arkham City and is highly recommended for hard core bat fans and those who have enjoyed the game that it was made to accompany. A perfect companion piece to the perfect Batman game. Personally, I don't know what everyone's problem is, I think this album rocks.

Delightfully Creepy Collection of Songs
I primarily purchased this album for three of the tracks: Mercenary by Panic! at the Disco, Afterdark by Blaqk Audio, and Trophy Widow by The Damned Things. However, having to buy the whole album in order to get Mercenary, I did listen to the whole thing and I'm glad that I did.The entire album is clearly not all written for or inspired by the game. Nonetheless, all the songs have a similar atmosphere and vibe that work well together with the other songs and as a complement to the game.Mercenary is an amazing track, moody but vibrant and the voice over from a game character fits it perfectly. Afterdark is darkly beautiful and makes me yearn for more Blaqk Audio. Trophy Widow is a terrific track that really works well in the context of the album. The other songs on the album are enjoyable and I was particularly impressed with The Ravonettes song Oh, Stranger.

Great soundtrack
I bought this just for the Coheed and Cambria song. But I did enjoy the entire album.

A nice moddy playlist
The Arkham City Album, is a great little compilation of moody rock/pop tunes that appropriately fits Gotham City. The Album showcases various different moods and themes that anyone familiar with the Batman universe will pick up on. (for example: certain selections must be for specific characters, whether Batman or Catwoman, ect..). But this is not the Album's strength. It's compilation as a whole brings a surreal transmigration of "our" music into a fictional universe, thus making the world of Arkham City more easy to relate to. The song selection spices up and enhances your experience in Arkham City...once the game is turned off and you want to be cool and jam with an album that showcases Batman on the cover. For more of a music narrative and emotionally driven pieces, check out the games official score, which rivals some of the best Hollywood scores out there.

Not too good
I ordered this CD for just one of the songs and I honestly only liked a total of two songs on the entire CD.

Batman Arkham City Better Then Batman & Robin
Now what can I say that hasn't been said aready about this album thanks to Christopher Nolon for the ressurection of Batman in 2005 since then Batman has never been more popular then he is right now. hes in everything from comics movies cartoons video games even calendars your'e almost garrenteed to spend your hard earned money on everything anything involving Batman Now there are a handful of artists on deck for this album although I'm new to this collection of the very talented artists such as The Duke Spirit, Black Motorcycle Rebel, Blacqk Audio, amonst others.I consider myself to be a casual listener when experimenting with alternitive rock or hard heavy metal the only bands I reconize are Panic at The Disco and Coheed and Cambria. I went and bought Batman Arkham City The Album and although it took quite a few listenings I noticed most of the songs most focused on the Joker and Batman other songs were either about the Riddler or Catwoman and even Hugo Strange Within the songs refering to the Joker i heard messages of death and choas Three weeks before the game's released through the music I had begun to ponder about the Joker's possible demiseThanks to the single by coheed and cambria's Deranged there is a Lyric in there that repeats "Who will be your pretty little enemy when im gone your world will prove empty I promise you will always remember me."Which makes Deranged one of my favorite songs on the album because I like how lead singer Claudio Sanchez sings from the Joker's point of view he puts on a great performance as he seems to emmulate The Joker's voice leaving you feeling as though hes directly speaking to you through the music the addition of the laughter towards the end of the track is the icing on the cake very cool.Other artists Like The Duke Sprit do a fine job on a song called Ceature I dub as Catwoman's Theme when speaking of Clawing at the sun you can only think one thing cats cats are also territorial hence the lyrics "Never step inside my space wearing a hunters you smell like an enemy taste im the only one to langwish in sun" provides a great image of Catwoman prowling the Gotham city rooftops while the song only runs a lenght of 2 minutes 32 seconds but just like Catwoman herself the song is short and sweet.Im not a big fan of Panic at The Disco but as always they always bring their A-game with their fast paced rock and their rocking gitars you just cant help but like their songs Mercenary is great song the appearence of Hugo Strange is awesome the voiceover provided by Corey Burton sounds as though hes come straight from comics. Blaqk Audio The Crosses+++ Daughtry and Boxer Rebelion all do a Fabulous job with their songs interpretations. But in my opinion Its the closure from former Sytem of A Down frontman Serj Tankian brings to the ablum With "Total Paranoia" Total Paranoia is great it brings about a feeling that Batman no matter what he does or where he goes there's really no escaping The Joker because of their long violent history and ongoing relationship Batman will forever be haunted by the nightmarish dreams of that echos the sound of manaical laughter. Conclusion The music from this album I feel is on point with the video game and the world which it takes place in every song perfectly captures the story and motivation of each character all in all this album is pretty cool like i said im not a fan of alternitive rock hard metal music but this is Batman Arkham City which in my opinion is much better then Batman & Robin.

Drown In Youがすべて
正直Hard Rock好きには退屈な内容だけどDaughtryのDrown In Youのためだけに買う価値はあります。アルバムとしては安いほうなので、ちょっと高いシングルだと思えばさして損した気にもならないんじゃないでしょうか。
