Worth the price, for quality USB management
I was first a bit hesitant to spend this amount on a 10 port USB hub, but frankly, it was worth it. This model in particular sits nicely on my Ikea desk, which is black too. The mirrored flat edge on one side is particularly interesting and makes it feel like a futuristic gadget, more than a USB hub. Each port has it's own on/off switch which is incredibly handy to switch between devices or turn off any conflicting devices in an instant. No more reaching around the back of the computer to fiddle with the USB ports! I produce music and back up my data from time to time and the limited USB ports on the machine I have are restrictive and annoying when I need to move the machine in order to get to the ports. This eliminates a lot of hassle and can simply plug and play. Using a couple of passive USB ports in the past were not great for some of my devices, not that they needed power, but when introducing them to a port on the passive hub, I lost it's functionality, so with this one, the powered ports and them all being USB 3.0 is great! To sum up: - Looks fitting for my workspace - Avoids hassle of moving and removing other USB ports - USB 3.0 - Individual On/Off switches Cons - All I would maybe say is the price, but to be honest, the hassle it has removed is worth it, so technically no cons.

Not just the item, the after-sales service is excellent too
Other reviewers have commented on the sumptuous style & construction of the case. Some have commented on the excellent performance & ease of use. I totally agree with these comments. It works extremely well; it's unobtrusive & I can usually forget that it's there. On the 1st of August, I switched the hub on & was greeted with a crescendo of noises from the Device Manager. It was going berserk! Message after message came up on the screen telling me that several device descriptors had failed, & the hub had ceased working. I thoroughly tested the cables voltage levels (USB output & Power-pack voltages) to find they were fine. I changed the USB lead, but nothing worked. I tried to update the USB drivers, but no new ones were available. I contacted the manufacturer to make them aware of the problem. A little while later, I noticed that Windows had just installed a Feature update, so being suspicious, I carried out a system image restore from a backup. The hub once more worked fine, without any issues. It was the update that had caused the issue. The manufacturer replied very quickly & would have sent a replacement hub, but I told them of the update issue & we worked through the problem together. They are testing the compatibility of their drivers with a view to modifying them. Excellent service! They are the sort of organisation that I like to do business with, & have a genuine desire to help the customer. As an aside, I waited a few days, then downloaded the Feature Update again onto a Cloned drive. This time it worked: no compatibility issues whatsoever. It looks like the update was bugged & Microsoft have fixed it (thankfully). This is the best hub I have ever used, backed up by superb after-sales service. Well done, RSHTECH

One of the best USB hubs I have ever used... With a surprising & bizarre catch.
A fantastic hub, just what I needed it for. The USB I/O ports on the back of my motherboard are beginning to fail and wain with age and overuse. I did not want to keep having to plug cables in and out my PC's rear ports so I bought this hub. It performs EXCEPTIONALLY well! Having owned USB 2.0 hubs and many USB 3.0 adapters in the past, I was somewhat cautious as USB 3.0 power and transfer speeds hardly ever work well if not at all without external AC power. For example, I have yet to find another USB 3.0 standalone interface device capable of upholding power and usable connection on an Xbox Series X pad. Usually the pad won't charge or will not support audio. Some supposed "USB 3.0" devices and cables even refuse to power devices like this full-stop. I am stunned to say it, but it does. And extremely well too. Even without plugging it in to the mains which baffles me. Full 3.0 USB connectivity and device powering from 4 hubs with NO external power required for ยฃ25? This hub is a no-brainer for anyone requiring power on devices that usually don't work with other hubs and adapters/accessories. The the main reason I chose a powered hub over a conventional unpowered hub is because I wanted high-speed data transfer and a stable, strong power connection as well as ease of use. However, this is the big twist and the oddball kicker... The USB power plug makes a HORRIBLE and extremely noticeable whining sound when powered on. If you have sensitive ears or are annoyed by even the faintest electronic whine or hum then it will drive you insane as it gets louder the more devices and cables you connect to it. But this is the odd thing, you only need the hub plugged into the mains if you plan to use fast-charging capability on something like a smartphone or tablet. If you just want to use this hub for data transfer, connecting devices to a 3.0 port and still draw power but don't want to use the fast-charging port and just charge up your electronics at a standard 1 Amp rate then you don't need to plug it into the wall at all! So in short, it's fantastic! The main reason why I bought this offering over others has turned out to be it's biggest hindrance and the unit itself provides a stellar user experience without having to take up a plug socket. I have put the plug back in the box and will continue to use it unpowered from now on as the fast charging feature doesn't apply to me but if you're planning to use this in a quiet space like a living room or bedroom then either use it unplugged or find a different model. I have only given this hub 4 stars as the plug issue has let down an exceptional product, but if you are after a brilliant USB hub and don't need the fast-charging power then this hub is the one to get. Highly recommended.

Excellent Unit
This seems to be well made, neat and heavy enough for it to stay in place. I use two positions all the time for external HDD's. I have 2 printers and a scanner, camera and 3 large HDD's as well. I have tied it with all working and it seems to cope very well. I don't see any need to use all at the same time though. All external discs are USB 3 and transfer times are excellent.

Exactly what I needed
Since I work from home full-time now, I had to invest in a good setup. I've wanted extra USB ports for a while since I have to charge my new wireless Apple mouse and keyboard so it's definitely good to have some extra ports. I'm also using a second screen paid for by work. I wanted a USB Hub with switches as I also charge my phone on my desk with a wireless charging car phone holder which I've attached to my desk. So I could turn off the charger when my phone reaches 100%. When I came across this USB hub it looked like the perfect addition to my setup. I've been using it for a couple of days now and I can say that it's a really good product. I was worried it would get really hot after reading some reviews but that hasn't been the case for me. Pros: - 4 USB Data ports (great for extra monitors, USB sticks etc) - 3 Fast Charging ports (great for charging headphones, accessories, phone, tablet) - Fairly smaller than it looks on the picture which is good in my opinion, it doesn't take too much room - Switch to turn ON/OFF each port - Led light to indicate when port is ON - Separate power for the fast charging ports so it doesn't overload the circuit Cons: - Led lights are located the opposite side of the switches. Which doesn't make sense to me. You can't tell if they are on or off if you have the switch side in front of you - Lights in the ports could be a bit brighter, you can barely see them I'm still very happy with this product and hope it will be as good on the long term.

Smart and well made
I see people are buying this as a phone charger, but it only charges at 0.9A per socket. If you only want a phone charger then a Anker PowerPort 10 which can charge at up to 2.4A might be a better buy. This product is really more of a data hub. I needed a USB 3 hub for my various USB 3 devices because my desktop PC only gets full USB 3 performance from its rear USB sockets (this is not uncommon on desktop PCs). So this hub works a treat for that. It's small enough to sit on top of the PC box whilst plugged in to the rear. It gives me full USB 3 speed on all my connected devices. No issues with power as I also have it plugged in to the mains via the supplied power unit. It looks smart and appears to be built to last. Very pleased with it so far.

Great Value, Compact, 7 port, Powered USB Hub With Individual ON/OFF Switches
This is a great value, compact, 7 port, powered USB hub with on/off switches for each USB port and lights to indicate when in use. The 4 data port blue lights flicker quickly when data transfer is in operation. I use the 3 fast charging ports for LED USB video lighting, they do not carry data, but are very effective for my vlogging rig. The reason for this purchase was the 12v 3A supply which I needed to supply continuous power to my vlog camera for videologging and videoconferencing. The BONUS is that I was able to stop using all my individual mobile phone plugs and plug all my USB devices requiring power and data transfer into this hub and the powered USB hub took the load off my Mac USB A ports. The extended 2 year warranty provides peace of mind and I know from experience that the support department reply very quickly. Very happy with my purchase.

Good solid product
This is by no means the cheapest USB hub but you tend to get you pay for with technology like most things in life. It's very sturdy and is clearly well made. I bought this had to replace another hub because having spent days trying to identify a problem with my laptop playing music from up to 4 USB soundcard simultaneously, it transpired that the problem was due to the previous hub and nothing to do with the soundcards. My previous hub for whatever reason could not handle streaming broadcast quality music from 4 USB soundcards at the same time. This little gadget seems to happily play audio and video through it all day long and has proven to be reliable. Having said that, I have only been using for a week but I can imagine having any problems with. So I would highly recommend it especially if you looking to connect multiple audio and video devices to a computer system. So I would highly recommend it.
