I had really high hopes for this product, but I am unfortunately really disappointed. The first thing I noticed is that the case is flush with the phone screen, leaving the possibility of cracking the screen open. I also noticed it has poor grip. I removed it from the package and charged it fully, and have found it doesn’t keep my phone charging. I tried using it for the first time, and while it did appear to be charging my phone, the next time I checked, it was no longer charging. I’ve repeatedly had to power on the case, but the same thing has occurred. Again, the case has a full charge. I’m disappointed, and would not recommend this product.

Let me start by telling everyone that I bought the Apple Smart battery case from Apple through Amazon. It was amazing until it just stopped working in less than two months. Amazon said sorry not sorry because it’s been over 30 days since your purchase so you need to contact Apple support. After going back and forth with multiple Apple support techs I accomplished nothing and am stuck with a $130 paper weight.Now for the Kioson case. First one arrived dead on arrival. I started to return it but was amazed when the seller offered to send me another case no questions asked.Pros:1) Charges your iPhone first with the case on then charges the case with the original lighting charger.2) Easy to insert and remove iPhone from the case.3) Allows you to turn the charging case on whenever your ready to start recharging your phone with a button.4) Sometimes will give your phone a full charge.5) Very slim and light weight design.6) Cheap enough to replace if it stops working after the one year warranty expires.Cons:1) Case offers no screen protection. There are no raised edges like the description says. The front edges are flush (even) with the screen.2) There is no on/off SWITCH on the case, just a very sensitive push button that gets pushed unintentionally either draining the case’s charge when not needed or turned off when your thinking your phone is being recharged.3) The mute switch does not work. I have to remove the top part of the case to turn the sound switch on or off.Conclusion: There is obviously a problem with the design of the iPhone X or newer that is causing any manufacturer from designing a solid working charging case for them. Even Apple has discontinued their smart case. Other big name manufacturers like Mophie are putting out cases that do not work or stop working. So if you need more battery life and you don’t have access to a charging port like me then this case will get you by. The only other option is a portable bank charger and I got tired of lugging even the smallest Anker charging bank around only to constantly replace cords because of breaking due to constant bends while moving around. I also did some research on the seller. It’s a big company in Beijing so I don’t think I’ll have any problems with support.

I like this case for several reasons. Nice feel, seems to protect the phone fairly well and charges the phone when needed but.....after only a couple months the charging port has become loose and now I have to carefully position the charging cable or it doesn't charge the case. Last night I plugged it in and put it on my nightstand. The blue light was flashing as if it was charging but this morning even though the blue lights were lit up, both the case and my phone were not charged. Its good when it works but the durability of the charging port is not good.

Once you recharge your battery. Your phone is not going to die.Not as heavy or thick as a brick.Nicely cut edge. A slim edge makes your swipe easier.Nice silicon touch finish.It’s much better then your normal external battery power band.You will like it!

I liked this product a lot because the battery life is amazing, whenever my phone was about to die, the case would charge it back up! Of course you have to charge the case like any other portable charger, but I would just charge the case and my phone at the same time!What I disliked about this product is that I am prone to dropping my phone all the time, and this case is not protective whatsoever, although it looks like it would be. I dropped my phone face down, so I checked if it was cracked and the screen looked fine. Later that day I go to take off the phone case, and the back is completely shattered.Hope this review helps!

The charger worked for about a month. After about a month the charger no longer charged. I tried using several different cables but it still would not charge. I requested a return to Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I finally got around to bring it in to a UPS store to return yesterday. When I tried to download the return label I got a message saying it was too late to return the charger.

1st problem. If you charge the unit while it is plugged into your phone, it will constantly stop then charge then back off again every few seconds. Best results for charging is to take the phone out of the battery and charge them separately.2nd problem is the casing will break apart over time when taking the phone in and out of the casing.
