The Official DVSA Guide to Driving – the essential skills (8th edition)

For this textbook being both a paperback and from overseas, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the book was in immaculate condition.

Buy the DVSA apps, most of the info in his book is repeated from the apps and in the Highway Code so not exactly new info for me. Waste of time returning it so will sell on

This book is how to do it properly and is a must for all drivers. As a learner, it will take you through how to do things correctly rather than how Mum Dad Boyfriend/Girlfriend Aunt/Uncle, etc do it. It's also useful to Mum Dad Boyfriend/Girlfriend Aunt/Uncle etc on how they should be driving.If we all followed the rules we'd all get along much better on the roads and have a more peaceful drive.I insist all my pupils get this book as I'm a Driving Instructor

You may not need this book necessarily to pass your theory test, but it is certainly a great, detailed reference book for a driver, to expand your knowledge of the road and your car. Great sections on maintenance, documents, controls of the car, finding the right gear, dealing with weather conditions and plenty of other aspects of driving.

I bought this to read along using the DVSA application. I passed the theory test at my first attempt although English is not my first language. The best method for me was to practice based on the online application (which i would recommend). Having this book helps but it’s not the reason why i passed my exam. Dedicate 2 hours a day for mock tests for 2-3 weeks and you will do fine. It’s important to know the theory and not just study for the exam

If i'm nit picking then the quality wasn't perfect, it was close but the edges were slightly damaged, I supose this could of just been through travelling conditions? But as I pay prine you'd expect the delivery quality to be cared for.
