50-50 QA issue. A steep learning curve if this is your 1st 3d printer.
Skip the Tevo Tornado if you just want to get printing right away. The Tornado is not for those for whom this will be their first 3D printer AND are unprepared to spend hours of meticulous troubleshooting OR are not tinkerers at heart. This is the right printer for you if:• Your goal is to learn the technology;• You enjoy tinkering;• You don't mind spending the necessary time to troubleshoot things;• You want to spend the money you save on other 3D printing things. (E.g., filaments of all colors of the rainbow!)Stock (i.e., without having to upgrade anything), the Tevo Tornado is capable of great quality prints. However, to get there, you'll need to overcome occasional slipshod manufacturing. Most importantly, you'll need to take a methodical approach to assembling the printer.Pay no heed to the claim of "95% assembled". You can slap the printer together within 20 minutes out-of-the-box. If you do, it's very likely that you'll spend countless hours--if not days or weeks--chasing print quality issues down the road. You'll be attempting to lay down molten plastic that is the thickness of 1 or 2 strands of human hair. Every poor assumption you make during assembly gets multiplied across the printer. For example, frame members that are not at right angles to one another can cause misalignment with your lead screw. This misalignment will cause the coupler to compress at various points creating poor quality walls/sides on your print. This is sometimes misinterpreted as a "bent lead screw".If you take the plunge, then join the Tornado's Facebook group while you wait for your new printer to arrive. Browse the group's posts for tips on assembling the printer. Check out some of the issues current owners are experiencing and how they resolved them.Again, you don't need to upgrade anything to get a really nice quality print from the Tevo Tornado. In exchange for the money you save, you'll have to invest the time to learn 3D printing.FOOTNOTE:This is my second Tornado within 2 weeks from the same seller (Amazon warehouse/drop shipping). The first printer had no manufacturing issues. I encountered the following issues with my second Tornado:(1) Ground/common wire for one of the stepper motors was stripped bare (about 3/4 inch) at the control box hole.(2) One of the control box screw holes was stripped.(3) The person whose job at the plant was to use lock washers to attach the lead screw nut to the extruder mounting plate did not know what lock washers are used for. He or she had sandwiched the lock washers between the lead screw nut and the plate.

My personal experience with this product.
i received this product on wendsday the 21st of 2019 and it was nice and shiny out of the box. after opening it i got to follow instructions on how to build it and came to the first of many problems. the instructions do not include the set up of the base, well no problem easy enough. then the next problem came of the lack of information of how to do the wiring this is major flaw and is next reasonable. so what did i do? I carried on and got a video online to solve that problem after continually restarting the video to make sure i got it correctly. afterwards from the guide book i went online to find firmware and software for the new printer. and the instructions are as follows go online download a program the go to our Facebook group page which is private by the way, so you have to wait to join. after that the instructions are to download the files and move them to the new program verify/compress them and export them to the printer. the guide then fails to tell you about the numerous error reports that you will experience. so after that i tried to do it a few different ways and i eventually got a error for doing to many exports. they do not tell you that if you do that too much you might mess up the hardware. so i asked for a replacement and figured i would give it another go. well Saturday the 24th i received this product and i get it out and get it put together and the xyz axis and like slamming into the sides and attempting to go to -450 and the wires are put together correctly. this is not a great set of issues that i have had. but it also does not help that the parent company of Tevo Tornado is basically unreachable with the time constraints. this product has been a nightmare i wanted to at least attempt to print out even a basic cube but i couldn't even get to that point.

Exceeded all my expectations
This printer has been a huge upgrade over my previous i3 clone. It's a Chinese printer but it works better than any I've used yet. The 120v bed heats up FAST. I believe maybe faster than the nozzle on some prints. It's easy to assemble, I did a lot of upgrades and tweaks before I even plugged it in but I would estimate 20-30 minutes if I had left it stock. Great price, great build volume, great bed. Buy this printer and you won't be disappointed.

Inexpensive, good quality, easy to use.
The print quality was good but had to be tuned. Didn't have to call tech support so I don't know their quality.Easy to use for beginners. Used one if their preset prints for the spool and printed as it was supposed to with only minor defects.
